The penalty in some places for attempted suicide (obviously) is death.

Suicide is murder. Simple as that. The premeditated killing of a human being.

That's why I know a little suicide sells.. hell and money has always mixed well.

Attempted suicide should carry at least 15 years in the UK. But our justice system is weak.

First of all suicide is not always premeditated. And here suicide isn't illegal.
In some places suicide isn't illegal but if you help someone to commit suicide that is. Which is funny cos it's illegal to assist in something thats not.

thought i would add my two cents. where i live we have doctor assisted suicide. but if the doctors do help they can get there icence removed..nice huh? i think it sucks that it's ilegal to kill yourself.

anyway someone said it that if you attempt to kill yourself you can get the death penalty...that kinda ironic. you say it's wrong to kill yourself and then you give them what they want by killing them????

anyway that was my thoughts on the subject!

Its so if people are in debt, and they want to save their family, they don't commit suicide so they get life insurance.

I say if people want to kill themselves let them, it shouldnt be a crime.

Crimes are (should be) rape, murder of an unwilling party, torcher of an unwilling party (why isnt self inflicted corpal punishment illegal? You should get punished for cutting yourself or burning yourself too, you would for doing it to another person. Hmmmm), stealing, things of that nature.

I also think if old people or terminally diseased people would like to pull their own plug, we should let them.

suicide is not covered by insurance.

Murder is a premeditated unlawful killing, not killing the willing.

Self harm being illegal would be an option I'm willing to consider.

The terminally ill already have that right. The refusal of treatment is just that. (DNR)

I see murder differently. If people want to end their own life they should be able to, its not our job to keep them here against their will. Suicide isnt murder because its of a willing party, and if you kill someone who asked you to do it, I dont think ethically you should, but I definately dont see it the same way as I do killing random people who want to live.

I see this stuff differently. I'm weird I guess.
