Room Mate

So room mate announcements were about a week ago, and i know the name and general contact info of who my room mate is, email, address, phone number. i added him on facebook and sent him an email, and still a week later he has not responded. the fact that he has not responded betrays great disinterest, or great ignorance. neither are encouraging.

with 2 weeks until move in day, and no idea as to who is bringing what im running out of options. calling him at this point is my only recourse, but im very nervous about it. it seems like a desperate course of action.

the reason contact is so important is due to... circumstances i will be moving in a week earlier than the vast majority of people. i also dont want to end up with 2 refridgerators, 2 xboxs, 2 microwaves, and 2 televisions in a barely 1 1/2 person room.

    opinions?

Send him a message on his phone, explain why you want to contact him and if he doesn't respond then he most likely never will. You'll have to bring in what you need and not everything. Try bringing in small things instead of big items and things which have 2 in one features or something... That way it may help a bit with the space issues. If you have had this person as a roommate before then you could predict what he will bring, if not you can try to guess by the information you have about him.

Send him a horrific message about how you have seriously contagious skin conditions and you need to order special creams for him, so he needs to get in contact.

    Or something.

I say just take all your shit, and if he brings his tell him "tough titty sonny Jimbo". You tried to get in touch, his loss.

He can pawn his things and use the money to buy himself a better phone.
