That's when the oldest account I currently have was registered, but I'm pretty sure I've on here up to 1 year longer than that.

    Narphy, you wittle baby cakes!

EDIT: Yeah, I'm positive. I've been on here since I was 16, so 6 almost 7 years baby.

I joined on 2006-05-19 at the suggestion of my friend Kim. I've been writing fairly consistently on P&Q almost exclusively since.

Basically anyone who's paid attention to my account can see exactly how I evolved as a poet. I love this place. :)

  • sibyllene

According to my page, I joined on 2006-07-21. I actually thought I joined when I was still in high school, but apparently I had already graduated at that point. So a little over 5 years? Still, that's a little more than 1/5th of my life, if you think about it.

My poems have changed a lot. Anything more than a year or two old is a bit embarrassing to look at, but I suppose it's all about growth. It makes me wonder how things will change in the future!

P.S., I think we've ALL been here longer than Janis or Dainz.... ; )

Don't be foolish, Sibbers. All of your poems are of the utmost beauty. I've been following 'em for a while, y'know. :)

Now that you mention it, though, I've been contemplating filtering out a lot of my older stuff, too. Hahah.

    I was an old member..
maybe in 2007, but the account was suspended
because of the penalty points I got for messaging people to comment on my stuff (And I never knew about them till recently):p

This account is new. 3 months i think :p

2008, so only 3 years, though it's certainly felt like longer than that. As others have said, from then 'til now, my writing has changed in style, topic, and I'd say has evolved into better writing. Most of my old poems I'd delete, but I'm too lazy...maybe someday.

Four. I with Narph and Yaki. Just a young 'un. I was on here pretty frequently for a while, and then took some time off. But kept the account. I've recently come back, and my writing has changed a lot (although not enough to make it good :p). Some of my old stuff on here is just painful to read....like, awful

    "Then Notorious B.O.B. suspended it?"

That's a LOW blow, even for you....

For your information it wasn't Bob who suspended it.

    1. Don't talk of things you clearly know nothing about and

    2. DON"T BRING UP THE PAST! Funny how you forget that rule when it doesn't involve you.

    Shame on you!!!!!

Bob personally told me to tell you to stop saying lies and talking about him especially when he has no means to 'correct' your statements.

  • sibyllene

Whewwww, I think it was an honest mistake, there. I'm sure Jane would be willing to correct it if she's wrong. I don't think anyone here is trying to drag up any resolved issues, just... mentioning things from an historical point of view. Let's cool our jets here.

  • silvershoes

Amanda, I was being playful and that's it. No nastiness intended whatsoever.

He/the mods suspended my account along with half my club, no hard feelings, just facts. It is what it is.
My POINT was that I think Abby has been around PnQ longer than her current account states.

  • Liquid Grace

"just... mentioning things from an historical point of view."

I've done that before and have been told I will receive penalty points. Jest or not it's a rule, deal with it. As minor as it is I was told the exact same thing...

Jane you stepped over the line this time. You're a smart girl and telling me no nastiness was intended is a farce. If no nastiness was intended all you had to do was say. "Abby I believe you did have another account back in the days. I believe it was suspended" See how it doesn't single a person out? And if you didn't know who it was perhaps you should have just stuck to not singling anyone out. From the looks of it you didn't know and just decided to toss him in there.

You want all this petty stuff to stop Jane but what you fail to see is doing this, digs it all right back up.

  • silvershoes

I thought I was being pretty clever, I had the song "No-no-notorious" going in my head, doing a little jiggy movement with my neck and everything. If I meant harm, I definitely wouldn't play off a rapper's stage name.

However, I'll edit it out because I don't feel like getting in an argument over nothing today.

  • Liquid Grace

You aren't bringing it up Factually you're bringing it up FASLY and.

I didn't harass you, but it seems the rules only fit to the way Jane sees it. Time you were held to the same rules I was not to long ago... Or you'll continue to say "No this is allowed but what you did wasn't" Point is a past member of this site saw that and was offended. He in NO way took that as a joke. So perhaps refrain from ever using his name especially when he can't speak for himself? Not only that but don't talk about things when you don't know who it was who DID suspend that account.

Edit: thank you, tone down the sneakiness about the 'fighting'. I'm not out to fight, but I am out to correct you or anyone when they lie.

  • sibyllene

I think if it's brought up to perpetuate arguments, that's when it's penalty worthy. Of course we can't just say that people aren't allowed to talk about anything that's ever happened - that would be silly : )

Lots of people have been suspended in the past. Many in the Club were suspended by Bob, so that probably would have been my guess as well. An honest mistake, not a lie. But, as you say, now it's been cleared up that it wasn't Bob who suspended abby. I think everyone is pretty much over what happened four years ago. Lately, I've just seen a lot pf people participating in contests, starting threads, and thinking of ways to make PnQ a nice place to be. Maybe that's why so many of us have been around for so long...

  • silvershoes

Where did I say you were harassing me? I think you are mistaken.

You and "he" get offended too easily. The rules do not fit the way Amanda sees them either, especially not the way someone who has been banned from the site sees them.

Other mods, feel free to edit/penalize me. I'm cool with it and I apologize if I've responded unmodly.
Things have just been going so smoothly lately... it's been great! I see this as a step in the wrong direction and if it's my fault, again, I apologize.

P.S. If someone calls me a liar one more friggin' time......... well, enough said.

  • Liquid Grace

"Many in the Club were suspended by Bob"

Lets get it clear. ALL mods on at the time suspended people. NOT JUST Bob. Can we stop singling him out as a person who 'suspended people'. HE NEVER did it without everyone's vote first... So lets make that clear and not bring up Bob. Stop singling him out period. If you're going to talk about 'who suspended who' back in the day refer to it as the Mods. Because factually that's exactly who suspended a person not just one moderator, as you and the rest of the mod team well know.

Jane: You get offended when people lie about your actions as well. Lets call a spade of spade eh..?

  • silvershoes

How dare you tell me I was lying? Any time someone makes an honest mistake do you jump at their throats and demand their head? I correct myself when I offend someone, as seen clearly in the post above that you and someone who should not even be lurking around here took offense to.

Can we get this thread back on track now?

6+ years, y'all! It's been a pleasure knowing so many of you for so long.

  • sibyllene

"Because factually that's exactly who suspended a person not just one moderator, as you and the rest of the mod team well know."

Good call. Even if he was the one who physically hit the button, mods do (or generally are supposed to) have discussions on those things.

Clearly, there's some old bad blood lingering here, but I think it's time to move on.

  • Liquid Grace

You WERE lying. You stated something that wasn't the fact. That's lying. If you don't concretely know if he did it or not you shouldn't have said anything at all and left his name out of it. But in Jane's world Jane is always right so have it your way you usually do.

The way I see it is if you're going to say something 'factual' especially when tossing someones name in there you should know the facts. To me if you go into the conversation and say it without knowing the facts it means someone is lying or unbelievably careless with what they say about other individuals.

Now I'll move on from this.

Bob aside I took offense to it as a friend of his. Just as you'd take offense if it was one of your friends (or at least should). Somethings should never be joked about.

Point being leave his name out of 'negative' discussions and I won't get offended/ have something to say about it. Pretty simple.
