Weekly Quote - August 15th - 21st

Hey guys! We were talking in the mod room, and were wondering if it would be cool to have a "weekly" quote thread, in which Daily Quotes from that week would be posted. It would kind of be a way to have a bunch of quotes together, but without having a TON of threads on the page.

It would be a problem with WOTD and Daily Sip, too, but you quoters seem to be way more on top of the "daily" thing, so it hasn't been an issue. (That said, I'm sure we could make WOTD and DS weekly threads with daily posts, too, if people think that's important!)

Does that make sense to everyone? We're open to discussion on this, but that's just one idea we had.

    Edit:

I think no one is posting a daily Quotation anymore, at least myself, Ive stopped it.

    Cool idea though,
and on a side note, when I started the daily Quote thing, i wanted to focus on the author who owns the quotations, in order to learn more about the life of these people who we often pass by their sayings, yet do not know that these lines belong to them.

so my opinion here, would be that the weekly quote thread better be revolving about 2, or 3 authors in particular...with a short summary about their life or something, and ofcourse a bunch of their most famous sayings/quotes. Just my opinion though :)

I like that idea. Maybe the weekly thread could focus on 1 person or theme, set in the first post. The rest of the quotes for that week would be things people found by that person, or on that topic?

I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. -Groucho Marx

    And one for good measure....

Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. -Albert Einstein
