    1. overflowing with fervor, enthusiasm, or excitement; high-spirited: The award winner was in an ebullient mood at the dinner in her honor.
    2. bubbling up like a boiling liquid.

    Etymology:
    1590s, "boiling," from L. ebullientem (nom. ebulliens), prp. of ebullire "to boil over," literally and figuratively, from ex- "out" (see ex-) + bullire "to bubble" (see boil (v.)). Figurative sense of "enthusiastic" is first recorded 1660s.

    I feel like this word is sisters with "effervescent," even though they probably have different roots and histories. Both are bubbly, but one is slightly more fizzy.

    Fervor is even in one of the definitions! The roots are definitely different but today they seem to share a common nuance, yep.
