How do I submit my poem into a contest?

You cannot submit your own poems to enter the weekly-contest of P&Qs.

If someone likes any poem of yours, he/she would nominate it to enter the contest. And he/she should be a SENIOR member of this website to do the nomination.

Check out the rules found in all the threads t know what I mean.
    I hope that helped.

There are numerous contests going on in this site. The one Abed refers to is the weekly contest which results in a "Win" button next to the selected poems.
This contest can be seen by clicking on the link - 'contest nominations' which will take you here: http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/contest_poems.html

Abed is correct that you cannot submit your own poem to this particular contest, but you can make a request that your poem be evaluated for submission at the following site under 'requests for comments':

On the 'main forum' (Members' message forum) there are always contests running which last several rounds each. The one currently running is heading into the third round and is closed to new entries. However, there will be a new one sometime at the end of September. The persons who run these contests volunteer and are organized by the moderators. The individuals running each contest set the rules and you conform to them.

Finally, within this thread (Poetry websites and contests) individuals run their own contests, wholly under their rules and control. There is a new one with an entry deadline of 17 Sep, which you can see at http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/discussion/topic.html?topic_id=131565 (*Contest #1).
Abed is in the second round of his newest contest, but when he's finished I'm sure he'll be doing more.

    Have fun!
