MARATHON OF THE GREAT CLUBS: MASTER SCOREBOARD #2

Abby, I hope you have as much fun judging our entries tonight (Friday night - NOT out on the town) as we had posting them ;-)

It's just hit saturday afternoon and I'm about to update all scoreboards.

It's going to be a whammy.

MASTER SCOREBOARD UPDATED.

This is pretty much awesome.

FOP, who have been sitting near the bottom of the heap all week, have simply been plotting away, waiting for the moment to strike. They have taken the most advantage of any HH, shooting to the top in one hour with their top quality poems being tripled each time. In fact, they have scored more points through bonuses than not. And the scary thing is: they still have 3 personal HH stored up their sleeve.

LTFR have used up all their HH, showing tremendous teamwork and enjoying a brief moment at the top before the onslaught from FOP. They are now in second place...working steadily away.

TC suddenly find themselves going from a comfortable lead to third position with only one HH remaining. What happened. Will they have the balls and ovaries to claw their way back up again.

MM are not far behind. They also have 3 HH remaining. Watch out for this one.

WTMNIS: Come on! Keep going!

And everybody: There is going to be at least one twisty update to this marathon later on today.

Am I mistaken or was tonight's HH deal # 1, with the regular mandatory waits between postings?
I'm afraid one of our members went a turn early, so her poem is disqualified. Just trying to keep things above board.

On a side note, the HH2 deal let LTFR get 43 poems in one hour on Thursday, and 44 on Friday. Is anyone even close to that?

I think FOP managed a phenomenal 80 poems in the last HH. And MM is currently posting at 4 poems a minute!

Less than 23 hours to go and it's time for an update.

There will be the Happiest of all Happy Hours coming up in a few hours. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee the time, but it should probably be around 8:00 in PnQ.

During this Happy Hour:
* ALL WAIT ROUND NUMBERS WILL BE HALVED
* ALL SCORES WILL BE MULTIPLIED BY 5. That's right. 5

The TWIST is:
Just before the Happy Hour is announced...
all the themes will change
just like that.
So watch this space. Any poems submitted after the announcement that don't comply with the theme will not be counted.

At the END of this Happy Hour:
* The poet who achieved the best average score (minimum of 3 poems) within the hour will earn 250 BONUS POINTS for their club.
* The club that achieved the most entries within the hour will score 500 BONUS POINTS for their club.
* The club that achieved the best average score will earn 500 BONUS points for their club.

The GOOD NEWS is that if your club missed out on this HH, it will strike again EVERY THREE HOURS until the end of the Marathon. HOWEVER, scores will by multiplied by 3, not 5, for these subsequent all-club Happy Hours and the big bonus points at the end will not be counted.

GOOD BLOODY LUCK, CLUBS!! The end is nigh, give it your all!

I'm hoping WTMNIS will pull together in this. Though Noura is engaged with more important things, and I won't be around for a bit for personal reasons.
Our club seems to be falling apart as of late.

So if you miss out on the HH (starting approx 8.00 when the new themes are displayed here) as described above, there will be other regular all-club HH occurring every three hours- so at:
11:00-12:00 8 Oct
14:00-15:00
17:00-18:00
20:00-21:00
23:00-0:00 9 Oct (finish line)

For all these Happy Hours, points will be tripled AND round wait numbers will be halved for every club who wants to take it on.

Okay, HHH is over and, again, FOP did a great job in taking the advantage, putting them in a secure position as they face the final laps of this marathon. Others will be snapping at their heels.

However, there are many HHs ahead on this last day.

I shall go to sleep now. I shall probably not update the scoreboards until the contest is over. MODS, at this stage, feel free to make new threads for each clubs as necessary.

You are all quite wonderful and have tons to be proud of. We really are rather like families.

I'd like to apologise for making your life so hellish this week. I am wickedly lunatic, but I hope you've had some fun and, you know, learnt some stuff about stuff.
