Water

"Summer Fling"

We jumped into the lake
and swam with our clothes
He splashed me with water
and I splashed him back.

It was a random, ordinary day
yet special with the sun smiling.
We giggled and danced
until the sun came down
and we knew it was the last time
we would ever see each other.

Oh, how those summer days fly by!

Free verse

September, just take me
away with you, don't leave
me here battling the days
on my own.

Wrap me around your autumn
leaves, let me feel the warmth
of your afternoons, but don't bid
me a farewell yet.

Self-conscious, put under
the microscope - every action
scrutinized, second guessed;
it's time to leave this petri dish
you laughingly call a job.

Abby observes but bans banality
since once deciding to announce contest
dare to do and demand dominance
for fun in fast and furious we have confessed.

Searching for someone to shoot
I hope it will not be me
Because she deserves so much better

Halloween
--------------
A vision in orange, or simply Halloween?
I wondered as I walked down the streets of
nowhere. All the different hallucinations
I once had just came to life.

All I hear is a continuous replay of the sounds
of "Trick or Treat ?". I am stuck in a deja vu
that refuses to come to an end. A memory of an
unforgettable Halloween.

It's happy hour time
which is really intense
I can't even use the toilet
because I'm too busy
making sure I post quickly
which explains why
this poem has no meaning.

If they find me dead
lying at my computer
pin the charges on
Abracadabra for she
premeditated this stress.

Water

Falling down that flowing river
suffocating the life in me
I never knew water had such
a taste, a taste of bitterness
and pain. Until I was surrounded
by nothing, but dull, still water.

We're the fast and the furious
racing towards the finish line
This contest has been tiring
but extremely exhilarating.

We're each working very hard
devoting time from our busy lives
and staying up all night
despite our various time zones.

Let's stick together and strive to win this contest,
not as a group, but as a strong, loving family.

Slides

The world is more than perplex
for us to fathom
with our complex minds.
Some say it will end in
fire, others say definitely in ice.
However,
I'm sure that we are a bunch
of human colonies, with an unwritten demise,
populations multiplying rapidly
and moved by invisible fingers
between two microscope slides.

Love is pure,
it sings lovely songs
and it flows into
your soul like water.
Like water,sweet like honey.
Water can be cold,
so can love but
water can be warm,
water is love's song.

Raja is a vampire cat
he comes to us only in the night
complaining if his food is tardy
then howling to escape the light

But if we sleep past dawn
we do not see him all day long,
'til sunset comes to bring him out
singing his muttering old cat song.

could move me like this.

it's ten pm, and I'm on P&Q.
The happy hour is a wacky hour
of tokens of words and postings.
Tell me to trace this round number,
but I can't because it's too bad
being on a bitter internet connection
in lumpy Lebanon.

Poetic butterfly you are my sky
and you give me little butterflies
Poetic butterfly you shine like stars

Some are spooky

when mom's water has burst;
then enter a world dry, to cope;
deeply recall that long float;
by water, not dust, we're nursed
and like birth die in thirst.

you anything, I can't find the
right words nor the right verse,
for you look like
a tanka, sound like a haiku,

smell like an acrostic
