If I can't find the right words to use
as I attempt to confess for you how
happy I am to wake you up in the morning
and to find you right there before me,
eagerly succeeding to change the course
of my entire day without planning,
then dear excuse my loss of words
for you have turned to be a plot
that I can't modify into poems,
and I have turned to be a newbie
who doesn't seem to function without
her map, anymore.

your heart tissues under
the microscope,
I found them secreting blue blood.
I know you're not a vampire,
are you?
Or is it perhaps your love for me

How much you've grown
since the winter solstice,
that first night we met
under the street light.

Do you remember
when I approached you that night,
how I whisked you of the streets
from a surely bitter demise.

A sight for sore eyes,
covered in filth and smelling of fumes,
frostbitten on your face
and your pads too.

But in looking past
your outward appearance,
into your eyes,
I could tell you were different.

Taking you into my arms,
holding you close to stay warm,
I whisper into your ear:
"Let's go home."
