    Lap 14 -Round 5 - Microscope

    My love, please
    come back to me
you've been staring into that microscope
as if you have porn hidden there

    Lap 14 - round 6 - wild card

    Sleep is for the weak
    says a slightly sinister Hayley,
    she probably sneaks
    through windows at night
    and stares into my veins.

    Lap 14 - Round 7 - Cats

I wish that I could have
    a cat like the Chesire.
    He could follow me
    without drawing attention
    and whisper secrets
    in my ear. Then when
I am in need of a friend
    your wild grin could
    appear
and I could stroke your fur
as I giggled at your words.

    Lap 14 - round 9 - PnQ member

    There's a man in FOP
    that keeps bullying me
    His name is Kiko
    with emphasize on K.O.
for I have a plushy hammer
    that stands beside my bed
So I say off with his head
there's enough bunnies in our den
and never shall you bully me again
    for the Queen has heard
    about the jokes from outer-space
Afraid? You better be! Now go, and reword
the letters you've scattered around this place

    Lap 14 - Round 10 - Alliterative

    Seriously? Sixty-seven seconds
    before my brain blows up
    and fries and frazzles from
    attempting to alliterate
    or rhyme for round eight.
Please, please, a prompt promises poems
    for little longer.
    Chim-chim-cheree-change them, please!

    Lap 14 - Round 11, Five lines

The wait is over, this marathon is almost done
So go on, grab your apron and bow down
Before the beautiful Abby changes her mind
Oh boy, I could kiss her bum for an extra time
I bet she would like it and scream just fine

    Lap 14 - round 12 - halloween

    The sun almost shows up
    with its bald head
    and children still wander
    past possible candy-fairies
    until they end up
    in the doom zone
    where dentists live.

    Lap 14 - Round 13 - toilet

    All I want to do
    tonight
    is brush my teeth
    and wash my face
in order to go to bed.
    The toilet,
    however,
    has other plans,
    as I trip over it
    and hit my head.

    Lap 15 - Round 1.21 syllables

    Living a lie
    Phony friends,
    I surely need

    Not

    Nor man's stare of
    disdain and disgust

  • Saerelune

    Lap 14 - round 2 - tanka

    Cherry blossoms sway
    like geisha tonight, closing
    the sky with its fan
    and moving on the rhythm
of sword dance at the palace

    Lap 15 - Round 3 - Water

Timmy went with his father, out to the lake.
They boarded the boat and readied the hooks,
Out to catch a shark - to turn into flake.
Timmy hoped the creatures were less scary than in books.

Both father and son struggled with the catch,
Until it was exhausted and in the safety of the boat.
Out of the water, the mighty shark was not match
They helped up the creature for a photo, to gloat.

    Lap 15 - Round 4. Free verse

It looks like I've blabbered enough
so I got to stop now, thank you very much
but first I'd like to poop, chillax and tip a beer
    long nights with Mr. Webster
    has gone to a halt

    Lap 14 - round 5 - microscope

I found a slice of brown bread
    and peanut better
    on the ground,
    just behind the Socky Mountain
    and beneath pools of underwear.

If I put some bread crumbs
    under the microscope,
    then perhaps I will know
    how old my underwear is.

Lap 15 - Round 6 - Wild Card (Free Verse)

    Last night I dreamt
    of Matilda in the chokey.
    But the Trunch was
    my mother, and I was
    the little girl
    with eyes scrunched
    close
    making myself
    small, smaller
    so the shards of glass
    couldn't touch me.
    But I was careless
    and not small
    enough
    so the glass met
    my skin. I was
    waiting
    for anyone to save me,
    but the only noise
    was my mother's cackle
    in rejoice.

    Lap 15 - Round 7. Cats

    Tiger, tiger
    Burning bright

    May you find
    A perfect rack

    And not just
    On a my ticklish lap

    Lap 14 - round 8 - aabab rhyme

Why do mothers like to put on piggy tails?
Their daughters heads are clawed by their nails
and lips tremble by the sight of two hanging palm trees.
I don't even want to describe the details
of coloured fruits, fastened in displease

    Lap 15 - Round 9 - PnQ Member

    There was a man, once
    who could tell my emotions
    by my simple text. CJ,
    he could tell. And then
    he could force a smile
in me. He was just one.
    There -
    until he wasn't.

    Gigantic gruesome
    gummer bears

    Lap 14 - round 11 - five lines

    I saw a black-winged pagasus today
and my little sister just pointed at it
    saying it's a donkey with a carrot
    drilled into its head, because
he had stolen the wings of a raven.

    Lap 15 - Round 12 - Halloween

After carving the pumpkin, the children were starving,
    and hoping the neighbours were kind in the quest for treats;
Or at the very least, Mum was home giving the turkey a carving.
The folks next door were generous with their sweets.

They sat around eating as many lollies as they could,
Still dressed as a ghost, a ghoul and some kind of fool.
They were all too full to eat as much dinner as they should,
So they each told their Mother they were waiting for the turkey to cool.

    Lap 15 - Round 13 - Toilet

    Toilets sure need
    a lot to cleanse:
    toilet brush to
    wipe off the poop
    and cloths
    to rub its
    yellowed cheeks.

    I think a toilet
    needs more
    make-up remover
    than a pumped up
    bimbo doll.

    Lap 16 - round 1 - 21 syllables

There are giant hedghogs at the market:
clusters of durian are wrapped in plastic

    Lap 16 - Round 2 - Tanka

    When I am feeling
    that there is no happiness
    left in this cruel world,
    I simply have to open
the freezer to find ice cream.

    Lap 16 - Round 3 - water

    It's summer
    and water
    has no taste to me
    Too much of it
    has flown past
    my tongue,
    and now I crave
    a giant popsicle
    Perhaps
    and ice berg

  • Saerelune

    Lap 16 - round 4 - free verse

If there are ten million bicycles in Beijing
how many would there be in Amsterdam?
Just today a sea of wheels
    flooded me
    ATE me
    As I stood there
    as nervous as a carrot
    on the black and white
    striped road
    that's supposed to mimick
    some sort of horse
    and assure
    my safety.

    Lap 16 - Round 5 - Microscope

Jack has a secret that bought him to tears
So small, but could yet cause death
Under his control, he tried to keep it for years
But it was now taking his last breath

He peered under his microscope one last look
At the virus he once thought divine
But now its was Jacks life it took
As he fell, snapping his spine.

    Lap 16 - round 7 - cats

    Garfield likes lasagne,
    but whenever I shove

    in front of my cat
    he jumps in my face
    and rips off my hair

    Lap 16 - Round 8 - aabab

I was told to do all her chores -
ironing, washing and mopping the floor.
I laid down, too exhausted to move.
I have found all these jobs a bore,
and only hoped my mother approves.

I must admit, we get along just fine
a silly alligator and a nasty bunny chum
we'll always be partners in crime
but you can take a hike anytime

  • Saerelune

    Lap 16 - round 10 - alliterative

Free verse reminds of a rickety house,
it's wacky and wobbly as it stands
    somewhere slyly against a sunset.

    Lap 16 - Round 11 - Five Lines

How can I properly learn my lesson
if I only have to write
    "I will not call
    Jeremy names" out
    five times?
