    Lap 24
    Round 2
    Syllables

    Sun beams through
    my window
    licking my cheek
    with kisses

    it's time to rise

  • Melpomene

    Lap 24
    Round 3
    Rhyme

    My artwork lay unattended,
it seems to creativity has been suspended,
my muse has hiked up her skirt,
Oh how I hope it doesn't hurt.
I wonder what brothel she was recommended,

    Lap 24
    Round 4
    Free

I watch him as he captures
    butterflies with a net
and pokes holes in ant hills

    climbs trees to see
    the robin's eggs and follows
    airplanes with his fingers

    talks to the birds
    in the morning and the
    crickets at night

    And asks what the
    dragonflies are doing
    as they mate

    Such a curious mind
    for an eleven year old

    Lap 24
    Round 5
    Squirrel

    I still miss her,
    the way her thoughts
    intwined with her hair
    and she became infinite

    the way she spoke
    of oceans and dreams...

but most of all I miss
    her squirrel teeth..
    for now,
I have nothing to make fun of.

    Lap 24
    Round 6
    Wild Card - rhyme

The sun has fallen from the sky,
I hope the moon hasn't been telling a lie,
he tends to fib about chasing his ex,
he swears the two have never had sex!
    but she's always saying goodbye.

    Lap 24
    Round 7
    Insect

    Mosquito

    You are such a fragile
    insect with your
    whining buzz searching
    for just the right moment
    to attack

    Your mouth with its piercing
    sucking motion, stinging
my skin to quench your thirst.

    You nasty female,
Why can't you be like your male
partner and go suck on some fruit!

  • Yakari Gabriel

    Lap 24
    Round 8
    Acrostic

    Beyond dirty creatures
Over taking the face of earth
    Yearning for pussy
    So called men.

M&M HAPPY HOUR BEGINS HERE: Option #2 halving waiting turns.

    Lap 24
    Round 9
    Mythological being

I never saw him climb down
the drain pipe, the curtain blowing
in the winter breeze behind him
but I dreamt of his scent.
    He was like a succubi,
    littering bodies with the
slug tracks of his tongue yet I'd
always wake to find his hands
tangled within my thighs and thoughts.

    Lap 24
    Round 10
    Cooking

    My hands run oil
    over your smooth silky skin
    rubbing deeply into the crevices
    and gently caressing your thighs
    and firm breasts

    I gently stuff your
empty cavity with a sweet mixture
    while holding your legs tightly

    Two hours later -

Licking my lips and breathing in
    your tantalizing aroma
    anticipating the first taste ...

    Chicken is ready kids

    Nature,
    she mades everything right?
    I mean,the boys
the jerks, the bitches and the pimps..
    we are all her children,
    well,I'm the rebbelious one
    My mother deserves a slap.

    Lap 24
    Round 12
    7 Lines

It was a natural disaster -
his heart grew cracks like an earthquake
had carved itself into the clay of
my volcanic sculpture. My shoes were flooded
and I found myself buried within the rubble
of a land slide, heel snapped and
mother nature printing loss on my ankle.

    Lap 24
    Round 13
    Magic

    The way your fingers
    slip through my hair
    and nestle on my smile
    needs no explanation

    for love is magical

    Grandmothers

    Its always you,
    the woman who
    takes my hand
    in my dreams..

    always you,
    even though
    I never memorized
    your face..

    the face I see,
    reflects to the one
    in the living room..

    yo haunt me..

    Lap 25
    Round 3
    aabba rhyme

As I wait for the next critique
my arms are tired, legs are weak

this marathon is getting the best of me
my poems becoming not quite unique

    Lap 25
    Round 4
    Free

I hate my body all the time,
when I look n the mirror,
    stretch marks are enough
    to drop confidence to zero..
    but then,
you cover my body with yours..
and I fall inlove with all I am..

    Lap 25
    Round 5
    Squirrel

I began to imagine a squirrel
dressed in a pin stripe suit that
was more ebony than his eyes.
An AK-47 loaded with acorns and
a toothy smile like Jack the Ripper.
It seems my imagination got the
best of me when he called himself
    scarface stole my pencil and
    sketched himself a bow tie.

    Lap 25

    Lap 25
    Round 7
    Insect

    I wore my heels
    like sneakers,
class was all I settled for..

I looked fly like a fly
    and wasn't
    scared of baygon

  • Melpomene

    Lap 25
    Round 8
    Acrostic

    Somewhere I know you're struggling
Tween the cold shivers trailing your spine
Ending at your knees and knowing that
Valium wont keep your soul at ease.
Eventually brother, your veins will run clean -
Never stop trying to find peace within yourself.

  • Lu

    Lap 25
    Round 9
Superhero OR mythological being OR movie star

    Dwayne Johnson

    His teeth sparkle like
    stars kissing beneath a
    midnight moon

    Tantalizingly tempting

    A Scorpion King
    Walking Tall, with
    a Game Plan on a
    Race to Witch Mountain.

    His sexy smile
    would make any Tooth Fairy
    drool and Hannah Montana
    sing a high pitched tune.

    A man - a wonder
    a King of the Ring

  • Yakari Gabriel

    Lap 25
    round 10
    cooking

    as I whipped some mayonaise
on to a loaf of bread..

    I realized
    that I wasn't wife material..

    the carrots whitered
    in the fridge,
    and so did our love..

I was never meant to be a house wife,
and you weren't meant to marry me..

  • Melpomene

    Lap 25
    Round 11
    Nature

It wasn't as though I expected you.

Your sleek body curving like a pear
and I almost thought I saw myself
    reflecting within your crystal waist
as you landed on my nose like
a plane 'pon an air strip.

You slid down the bridge before
halting at a reddened tip -
mocking me as you cheekly vanishing
    before I could I twirl
    an umbrella over head.

    Lap 25
    Round 12
    Seven lines

As time rears its ugly head
our love may slip and fail

    our future unknown
    hanging from the moon
    swinging in the breeze

but the one thing I know for sure
is that I once loved you

  • Yakari Gabriel

    Lap 25
    Round 13
    Magic

    your thighs
    messed up within mine..

    the airconditioner was on,
    still I felt us burning..

    It was way before
    bed-time,but
    my eyes were heavy..

my room was dim in lighting
    yet,I saw stars..

    we never made love..
    we made magic.

  • Melpomene

    Lap 26
    Round 1
    Grandmothers

    She always told me that
I looked just like my mother -
    her mother, and my mothers
    mother which was my
    grandmother but anyway...

    my heart would swell like
pop corn for I saw my
    fathers reflection in china, blue
eyes as cold as frozen beer and
I'd often dye my locks with
    with pomegrante seeds -
    the colour a bruised cherry.

    Lap 26
    Round 4

    Lap 26
    Round 5
    Include the word "squirrel"

    Tiny Treasures
    packed tightly in his mouth
    scurrying off to the tree,

    he prepares the stock
    hidden deep
    as the squirrel
    nestles down for the harsh
    elements of winter.

  • Yakari Gabriel

    Lap 26
    Round 6
    wildcard (free)

If only I could look inside your mind,
get lost within the corners of your thoughts..
and discover that, I am kept there..
I would stop these futile attempts
    to reach your soul.

  • Melpomene

    Lap 26
    Round 7
    Insect

    I wonder if you ever
    pray with your prey once
    you've emerged from
    your chinese army camoflauge
with the stance of a boxer.
Do you flex your spiked forelegs
    like a hairy male or
    flutter your wings like the
dress of a female caught by wind.
    Do you ambush birds like
    a suicider bomber ambushes
    international planes,
    causing panic and not
putting up much of a fight.
I wonder if you ever play
    with your prey?

    Lap 26
    Round 9

    Superhero

    still,
    I was the weirdest
    of them all..

    they all seeked
    to be super hero's

    to be called a
    "superwoman"
    to be callled a
    "superman"

    while,
    I only wished
    I could be myself.

    Lap 26
    Round 10
    Cooking

    Her cream body is
    covered in cellulite and
as I drip a strawberry oil
    down her nose and neck
    it slides with her waves
    before pooling a little
    stream at the bottom
    of her river bed.
    I fumble with her cherry
    before engulfing it
    within my mouth, nothing
    has ever tasted so sweet.

    It may not seem like
    cooking to you but
I am often most pleased when
    making myself
    a strawberry sundae.

haven't lost sleep to get a happy hour
and haven't sacrificed for his team..ofourse.

    Lap 26
    Round 13
    Magic

I told you tea leaves lied, the way they
curled themselves into the shape of a blanket
and spoke to you of warmth.
You never believed that one day
they'd crumble and all you'd have left
    was the burnt umber stem,
too brittle to hold you and too
    withered to keep you safe.
