We've all heard about these Anonymous Hacktivists, attacking big banks, corporations, defending wiki leaks, attacking government websites in egypt, asia minor, etcetera. They are extremely powerful, when an electronic security firm tried to step up to them, anonymous took down their website, stole company emails, and forced the CEO to resign. |

I feel the same way I do about their activities as I would about a thief. If they are only stealing from and attacking big corportations, then fair game but when they do things that effect normal people who have nothing to do with the activities of the companies, then they are hurting the wrong group. |

Have they really attacked the normal people though? i mean they are supporting the "Occupy Wallstreet" movement openly, they want the empowerment of the people. |

So a thief is a thief only when it's 'normal' people, but if they're stealing from someone/thing you don't deem 'normal', they aren't really stealing? |

They have attacked corporations which have then had to cancel their services to the general public. They might have noble ideals about stick it to the big companies, but in the short term at least it's the little people who get fucked over. |

I'm with Kevin, I think. I'm all for Robin Hood and everything, but I don't get the feeling that Anon has a clearly-defined method and purpose. Part of me kind of secretly enjoys that they are making big, serious companies squirm, but really I don't know if they've totally thought through their actions. It seems like they do things because they can, and I think there is a danger that they will be messing with things that end up hurting everyone. Jury's out, I guess. |

Well the way anonymous works is theres an encrypted forum, not unlike this one. all the members pay attention to then ews, do research, whatever they want really until it occurs to them that some one deserves being made a target of anonymous, whoever has that inkling then writes a proposal as to why that should be the target. |

""According to Security News Daily, Anonymous has taken down more than 40 darknet-based child porn websites over the last week. Details of some of the hacks have been released via pastebin #OpDarknet, including personal details of some users of a site named 'Lolita City,' and DDoS tools that target Hidden Wiki and Freedom Hosting — alleged to be two of the biggest darknet sites hosting child porn." |

Anonymous are doing what we cant physically do. A mere protest isnt entertained anymore. The big corporations and the government are misusing our faculties. We are deprived of rightful information. Yeah Aaron Barr had to resign. Anonymous also went on to take control of the company HbGary Federal's e-mails, dumping 68,000 e-mails from the system, erasing files, and taking down their phone system. The leaked emails revealed the reports and company presentations of other companies in computer security such as Endgame systems who promise high quality offensive software, advertising "subscriptions of $2,500,000 per year for access to 0day exploits". |

Just a pet peeve of mine, "big corporations" don't exist without the force of government to back them with monopoly laws and such. They're one and the same. I have a problem with Anonymous attacking private business that has ZERO dealing with the government. Them monkey wrenching the corrupt disgusting thing people like to call democracy, I have no issue with. |

Annon took it upon themselves as do most if not all left wingies to be your saviors of negative thought and philosophies. They have even decided upon themselves that the tea party is so viemly th enemy of free speech that it wants to take that free speech away. Their reasoning is that, the tea party is filled with raciest elements and the enemy of mankind. |
