I kept being logged off when I try to comment some poems.Hope this problem can be solved soon.

Karla: The way I get around it is by copying the comment using Ctrl A, then Ctrl C (saves it in browser clipboard) before you hit post. Then use Ctrl V (paste) if needed to repost the saved comment of the clipboard in to a new post. You do risk loosing all of your comment, if you do not copy your comment each time -so the keyboard shortcuts above should help. It seems the logging off is an idle time issue...you get logged out automatically after 4-5 mts if you do not hit the post button. But in reality you are not really logged off. Jut hit the back button on your browser once/twice, and Walla you are back in. I often keep 1-2 addl.copies of the poem/comment page open when doing this....as my comments usually take 15-mts or more. You can do this too by using keyboard shortcut Ctrl N (N=new page). Hope it helps.

Hey Lonely, I hope you didn't take my "LOL" as rude. I was laughing at the idea that Janis, our administrator, may not be sure who the mods are on his website. I don't think you, as a moderator, are laughable. You'd probably be good at it :)

Anyway, that's my last off topic remark in this thread. Here I am, a moderator setting a bad example!

When I make a comment I notice it does not show up in the "Comments" section of their poem but the number of comments beside the poem goes up

Anyone else having the same issue?

I now noticed that when you type the comments say somewhere else like on a word document or e-mail and copy and paste into the comments section, it doesn't show up.

If you type the comment directly into the comments section it shows up.

Can this be fixed please?

Lioness - it sounds like you might be having the apostrophe issue. As of yesterday, copying and pasting quotations was fine, but apostrophes were making the entire post disappear. Last I heard, Janis hasn't figured it out yet, but he's aware of the problem.

So I'd say, first, try posting without apostrophes. If it's all good, great. If it still doesn't work, we may have bigger issues.

there's another problem,

sticking threads in clubs ain't working!

Nana: That hasn't been working for a long time. I'll add it to the list.

Sher has also asked Janis to give club managers some extra powers, like the ability to lock and delete threads within their own club. Hopefully the stickies will go along with that.

Seems everyone's poems have disappeared...at least from my end?

So no poems, from anyone.

The nominations page is all weird too and there's no poems on there either.

There are no poems, at all.

I've clicked on everyone's name who is signed in right now and it says 'There are no poems' Also, as I said, the poems on the nomination thread have all gone.

I have no poems and neither does anyone I check or the genre list, nominations they have all disappeared within the last 15 or so minutes. I for one as really getting tired of this. I know improvements are necessary but at what expense. Janis test these changes before you make them.

I hope it can be fix, I have no copy of them. :(

Last update from Janis stated that he had made changes to quite a few pages on the site and new bugs may appear. This is one hell of a bug. I've posted in the mod forum, hopefully he'll return and see it very soon.

Also....the front page...although the poems still appear there, when you click on all three it says they've been deleted.

I have one quote posted in my account and it hasn't been affected...don't understand why that is?

It seems all quotes haven't been affected on members profiles. Not sure why either, perhaps the quote page is seperate. Maybe Janis hasn't made any changes on that page.

I've just tried submiting a test poem to see if it would show up and, although it accepted it doesn't show on my account so...even new poems don't show up. Just thought I'd mention this also.

* Just noticed the number of submitted poems next to my name says I now have six....so the site is acknowledging that I have another poem but isn't showing it.

No poems on the front page, but I see I'm late posting this.

So nobody has poems currently? Crap. I have the amount of poems I have written listed on my profile, but no poems appearing.

If you read my post further up Jane you will see that, when this happened at first, the front page still displayed the winning poems but...when you clicked on each it said they had been deleted and now...as you said, they have also gone.

I have emailed Janis. There is nothing we can do but patiently wait and pray.

I have a good feeling that the poems are all in storage and are not lost to us. Let's wait for Janis to come back and figure out the issue.

well I am not sure if this reliefs you, but when submitting a new poem, it won't appear yet the number of submitted poems on your profile will increase...

My conclusion : there is a magic gown covering the poems section, and when he's back I believe this will be fixed!

The rhymer feature is no longer working. Don't know if it's been out for a while because I very seldom use it. This is the message it gives..

The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

Oh I really hope that our poems don't go off site for good :(

Just a quick update:

The rhymer is now working and as you can tell the poems are back up and running. Sadly poems submitted within the last 12 hours were lost, thankfully this is such a small time frame and I hope not too many people didn't have backup copies of their poems.

I hope the poem I posted as a test will never be found LOL! testing ..testing...after two lines of this the cheek of the sit e said...this is not long enough for a poem..please post it in the quote section...I added some more testing..testing lines but...hey..the humour didn't go unnoticed...albeit random humour!
