1 - when will it be possible to post a poem without those Rs?

2 - why whenever I try to read a poem, I am logged off?

3 - why can't I see all the poems I posted so far?

Janis has to fix these glitches, no one else here can do it.

Question is, does Janis even know there are issues with the site or did he change servers and leave thinking everything is the same as before and he's free to take another break and go on vacation for the next year or two?

He was just on yesterday, but no contact, of course.

Karla, there is another thread titled "Site Issues," where people have been listing all of their problems. They have found workarounds for some issues, but nothing yet on others.

Well as long as he fixes the issues I wouldn't mind the silent treatment. It must be frustrating for you guys, though. Wish you patience.

The temp fixes (or easy bypasses to the nuances) to Qns 1 & 3 have been posted before in other threads, but I will copy them here:

    Answer to Qn 3)

    1) Just copy the magic line below and enter the correct ID # after = sign of the person's whose poems you wish to look at:

    http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/author_poems.html?id=457599

and Walla! all of the poems of that member appear on this page.

    OR

    2) Simply do a google search "All poems by ......." and use the link from there"

Answer to Qn 1) (courtesy Of Lioness):

After typing/editing the poem in the box, select ( Ctrl A) and copy the entire text (Ctrl C) before clicking save. Once you have copied your poem you can click save. You will notice that all the formatting is gone and rn's are everywhere, so you will next need to edit your poem. Go back to your poem, click edit next, select all the text (Ctrl A) that is there and replace with what you copied before (shortcut is Ctrl V). It gets rid of the rn's (until it gets fixed for good).

I strongly suggest that you first test this soln by copying and pasting your poem as new (temp basis) and then once confident, go ahead and work on your original submission, or the one which needs edits, after it has already recd comments. It works just fine.

I have not encountered problems mentioned in Qn 2. Perhaps follow Joe's suggestions for similar issues elsewhere - clear the cache (temp files, history and cookies) from your browser, exit the browser and come back again.

Hey, The RN's are gone!! I just submitted 3 poems and they haven't shown up. Sorry for the !! but they have been driving so many people insane, and they are now gone. Or at least I hope they are really gone.

You can also see all of a poet's poems the normal way. I saw Janis on again today, so maybe he fixed them quite recently.

Rn's should be gone, and he will be working on those pesky black diamonds of doom that have been around for as long as I can remember!

  • Britt

Ooh I forgot about the diamonds of doom!

Diamonds of doom is nice title for a poem.
