The Catcher in the Rye

Anybody else read this book?

I was just wondering, how at the end he was talking about his psychoanalyst, does that mean he's just seeing a shrink or that he's gone to a mental hospital?

Basically the book is about how Holden feels about society right? How everyone is fake and judged on stupid things like money etc...

Is that right or did you get something else out of it?

Yeah, while i was reading it, I kept hoping it would at least lead to something but, apparently, no it really didn't. But it's critically acclaimed right? it's pretty good.

It actually wasnt that good to me I know that every part of the book like how he dragged on and stuff was there for effect but he just drove me crazy with calling everyone phonies when he was the biggest of them all he never kept his story straight and had a mistrust in adults except a couple...
