What to do for Christmas?

I'm curious about what everyone is doing for Christmas. Are you going to travel to see family? Are you going to your husband/wife/boyfriend/girlfriend's family? Are you just going to stay home and watch Christmas movies?

I'm actually going to visit family and people I haven't seen in almost 7 years now. I'm really excited and sort of nervous after not talking to them in about as long as I haven't seen them.

Oh wow @ seeing them after that much time with no contact. That's great. I really hope that goes well. I can see why you would be nervous as well as excited at the same time.

I am just going to be spending time with my family at Christmas. I will take the few days off work that they will give us instead of taking more than I want at this point.

My hubby and I have decided to go to Hawaii next year if all is well and the dollar is good.

We both really need time off work as we've both been pretty stressed out actually so yay for us!

Christmas has always been hectic for me. I've quit going to my sides big functions, so its gotten easier. Christmas Eve will we be at Jasons moms side for a full dinner and gift Exchange. Then Christmas morning, we will go to my sisters early to watch my nephews open gifts from Santa, go to Jasons moms for our gifts and breakfast, and then go to his Dads side (grandparents) for dinner. Phew.

    Awwww awesome!

    I have six

    21, 15, 8, 5, 3 and of course few month old newborn!!!

My sister got married at a young age and had a baby not long after

One of my nephews is a new edition to the family as my bro remarried a lovely lady with an awesome kid.

Out of the six, two boys and three girls

Which is kinda funny since that's also how many are in my family. Parents had six kids. 2 boys and 4 girls

They grow up so fast :(

Oh my goodness!! That's a big family. Both my grandparents on either side had six kids. I come from a huge family.

These little guys are new to us :) they're brothers, and my sister is fostering (eventually adopting) them. She knows their mother, who is a drug addict and has so many mental health issues, she can't care for children. It's sad. But we got two little blessings to add to our family, they've been with us a little over a year. My sister and her husband have been trying to have kids for 7 years with no luck, so its great that she had this opportunity.

Wow... very big families. Well, I hope that the money lets you go to Hawaii, Lioness.

And I hope that everything works out for you, Britt.

We always host Christmas Eve for my mom's side of the family. People come over for hors d'oeuvres and Christmas cookies, and the inexplicably traditional oyster stew. There is some give giving and such for that side, and we'll usually play board games and "Bop-It."

On Christmas morning, it's just my immediate family. We wake up, open presents, have a big breakfast, and laze around all day in our pajamas, watching movies and playing with new toys. We have a leisurely dinner with minimal cooking and cleaning involved. I'll usually head over to my boyfriend's at some point during the day, to cozy up with him and hang out with his family. I'm so looking forward to Christmas! I love the smells and decorations and happiness... sigh.

The smells are amazing of all the cooking turkey and such. This will be the first time my brother, my niece, my mom and I have all been together for Christmas since my niece was born. It's going to be interesting because we're having Christmas the day before Christmas because my brother has to fly back to Alaska on Christmas day for his job.

So on the actual dad, I'll be with my mom and her boyfriend; I'm trying to make it a little thing with my mom's boyfriend's side of the family.. so that we can bring some of them together. I'm hoping it works out because his family is really nice and we all get along. I figured it be a nice gesture since it'd be all of my mom's side of the family staying with him. Well...not all of my mom's side of the family, but you get what I mean.

Awwww @ adopting - that's so awesome!!! It's sad that they tried for that long :( heartbreaking when people can't have kids

Yeah we've got a pretty big family lol My mum is apart of 11 and my dad apart of 8...

It's what happens when they don't believe in contraception lol

What a nice thing @ breakfast. We always do lunch so a breakfast would be awesome!!!

It is a nice gesture to get all together. I hope everyone has an awesome time at Christmas x

Adopting is an amazing idea, there's tons of children who would love to have kids that can't have them. I'm sure there's tons of kids who would love to have parents. That's an amazing thing.

I'm the youngest of 5 kids and the only girl. My dad was the second oldest of 5 kids and my mother was the 5 kids.

Breakfast for lunch, yummyyyy. We usually have turkey at like 10am or a bit later because my dad would start cooking the turkey at 2am. He really got into the christmas spirit every year as far as cooking. He likes to cooking a lot and he's an amazing cook.

I hope that everyone has a happy holidays if you don't celebrate christmas and you celebrate another holiday.

Wow, everyone sounds like they're going to have beautiful Christmases (Britt, I salute your stamina!) I hope you all have wonderful days :)

Hoping to spend it with my boyfriends family, be the first time I meet any of them in person so both excited and nervous. Very large family with lots of cousins and nieces and nephews.

Might have one of my older brothers down with his 2 kids and girlfriend also.

I miss those huge Christmases! I'm one of 8 children with 28 nieces and nephews now. Would love if I could get them all in one place for the holidays lol

It seems like everyone has like four or five different christmases to go to.. That's a lot of traveling for some people. I'm flying 3,000 miles just for one christmas.
