Just wondering

Who has coding abilities? I know Joe and Amanda knows how to code, but I am curious as to how many of our members have coding abilities.

No, we are not looking at giving anyone the rights to coding here right now that I am aware of, but I am just asking out of curiousity.

Yep, as you previously stated, I know how to code. I'll give a list of what programing languages I know when I get back from work.

Does knowing the basics only counts?

    If yes, then I do.

I'd be down to take some CIS classes this summer and learn coding.

They still use basic? I wrote in that in the 70s. Next you'll tell me fortran & cobol are still relevant. It's been 30 years, but we used to write our own research programs in them in the 70s & early 80s in a Masters program.

My son is in his fourth year at uni and he has studyed this too, one of his three majors. If you have a question, I could ask him. He is extremely busy, though..so it could take a day or so for him to answer.

    Yes, also, some Visual Basic.
I've designed a portfolio for a web page design (school project)

but I've found out if you don't keep practicing the coding languages we've been taught... you'd definitely forget them :S I should keep on learning by myself.

No Larry, they don't really use Basic anymore (except for some companies that never updated their systems), but they do teach it for it is the building grounds for many other languages.
