If you are to Pray!

Every now and then, especially when the end of the year comes around, I sit for a while between me and myself, I look back at my actions, my failures, what I have accomplished and what I have..failed to accomplish. My mistakes, and my good deeds...then I write a new prayer. I would really appreciate to read, what will your prayer be! It's good to have some emotional moments around this forum before Christmas, and before the new year !

    Lord, I pray..too

    by Ms Sunshine

    "Forgive me for I
    knew not
    what I was doing",

    forgive them for the injustice
but forgive me for my sadness
    forgive them for their hatred
and forgive me for my blindness.
    Forgive them for being harsh
but forgive me for being weak.

Forgive me for forgetting about you,
    for my despair, my helplessness,
    for my thoughtlessness and surrender.

    Forgive my wasted time
    forgive my wasted money,
    my moments of ignorance
for the words I should have kept
and the words I should have said.

    Forgive me for my silence,
yet forgive me for my anger
    for my judgement and distrust,
    for my doubtful mind,
    for my laziness
    for my insecurities
for my fears, my endless fears
    and worries...

forgive that I forgot that you
are the father of all languages,
    for forgetting that you understand
    the biggest words uttered through
    my silence...

    for not remembering that with
    every breath I take, there's
    my Lord, watching above me
    for not remembering that with
every sigh I let go, there's
    my Lord, watching around me
    for not remembering that with
    every tear I cry, there's
    my Lord watching beneath me
    for not remembering that with
    every word I speak, there's
    my Lord listening behind me
    for nor remembering that with
    every thought, every beat there's
    my Lord inside of me!

    For forgetting that every second
every word, every tear, every vision
every beat, every bit of emotion
does not occur, if you weren't there
    ahead of me, everywhere.

    And anytime,
    even when Lord I pray...not.

That is so inspired that it reminded of a quote

"I cannot teach you how to pray in words. God listens not to your words save when He Himself utters them through your lips."
Surely God utters prayers on your lips

I will meditate on this and share latter

    "On Prayer
    Kahlil Gibran

You pray in your distress and in your need; would that you might pray also in the fullness of your joy and in your days of abundance.

For what is prayer but the expansion of yourself into the living ether?
And if it is for your comfort to pour your darkness into space, it is also for your delight to pour forth the dawning of your heart.
And if you cannot but weep when your soul summons you to prayer, she should spur you again and yet again, though weeping, until you shall come laughing.
When you pray you rise to meet in the air those who are praying at that very hour, and whom save in prayer you may not meet.
Therefore let your visit to that temple invisible be for naught but ecstasy and sweet communion.
For if you should enter the temple for no other purpose than asking you shall not receive:
And if you should enter into it to humble yourself you shall not be lifted:
Or even if you should enter into it to beg for the good of others you shall not be heard.
It is enough that you enter the temple invisible.

I cannot teach you how to pray in words. God listens not to your words save when He Himself utters them through your lips.
And I cannot teach you the prayer of the seas and the forests and the mountains.
But you who are born of the mountains and the forests and the seas can find their prayer in your heart,
And if you but listen in the stillness of the night you shall hear them saying in silence,
"Our God, who art our winged self, it is thy will in us that willeth.

It is thy desire in us that desireth.
It is thy urge in us that would turn our nights, which are thine, into days which are thine also.
We cannot ask thee for aught, for thou knowest our needs before they are born in us:
Thou art our need; and in giving us more of thyself thou givest us all."

    Prayer for the Mission

    by Michael D Nalley

O Lord, we pray for the strength to carry out these holy missions
That You may look with favor upon our humble petitions
We pray, that Your most holy living word, that proclaims salvation
Can be understood by all of us, in our own personal situation
We pray for more faith, with the most holy symbol of
The crucifix, that is the greatest proof of Your love
We pray, the light of Christ can be seen by all, so that the darkness of sin will cease
That the Easter candle shines, like the light of Christ to create harmony, and peace
Give us this day our daily bread, the bread that is Jesus, we pray
That nourishes our life, and makes us the bread of life, for today
We are called to Your altar, with Jesus our brother
Sent forth on a mission to serve You, and one another
Lord accept our prayer, as a love poem from all of us to You
So that all of these symbols can be understood before we are through

I would like to thank him for sending his only son
    to save us
    to bring peace
to rescue humanity from the darkness.

    Thankyou Kal-el
