Haha, I just watched that yesterday. Pretty funny. I am going to go the typical girl route and say that they CAN be just friends. However, maybe at some point there will always be the question of something more. Maybe some of the guys' perspective comes from a biological necessary to appraise each person as a potential mate, but I think friendships can certainly become more than that - so much more that those feelings cease to matter.

Of course, I've been dating my "just friend" for about three years now, so obviously that one didn't work, but I have two other close male friends that I don't share romantic feelings with. One is the best friend of my fellow, so maybe there is an automatic buffer there. It sublimated any potential for feelings that might have ever arisen. The other said he liked me at one point years back, but I would be flabbergasted if he still felt the same way. He has liked plenty of other gals since then, and we are closer than ever. So I guess... while there might often be that thought of "what if we...?" I think once it's been acknowledged, you can move past it and honestly be "just friends."

I would recommend The Four Loves by CS Lewis. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it seems to me that both sexes have very little control over who they are atrracted to and in what way

I'm marrying my just friend in seven months... Lol. I think there always ends up being feelings some how, especially when single.. you get lonely and they are just there. But sometimes the best relationships develop from a strong friendship.
