SENIOR MEMBERS REQUIREMENT

Yaki, what you say is not of my concern. I am questioning one simple thing.What you or helon do matters not to me. You guys here take things personally and I simply don't care. I am defending my senior membership which vanished in thin air with the new rule.But you don't care either because none of you have been affected. It is comfortable for u all huh.

"The number of praised comments required for senior membership has now been raised to 10 or more."

The majority of the people we polled were in favor of raising the minimum. Most people actually requested a higher number, but we thought it would be prudent to start with 10, see how that works out, with the option to raise or lower it from there if we need to. I'm not sure if this means that 10 or more praised comments is now the ONLY way to get senior membership, or if you can still get it from 100 poems or something else. I'll check on that and update as I find out.

Unfortunately, this is kind of a universally-applied change. We haven't thought of any way to exempt older, returned members who may have had more praised comments before they left.

I appreciate fairness and justice.I won't leave any comment anymore.Poetry is not a Pavlov Theory.I won't do that.It is against what I believe.Besides I won't praie anybody for a comment.Praised comments don't make a poem good.

Gosh do you really think anything will change?The same old people will vote for the poems. Wanna change something? Change the way poems are judged here. Have more than 3 judges.

Karla, we understand your frustration and appreciate you voicing your concerns however as Sibs mentioned in her original post the change was universal. We realise that we can't please everybody but the decision was made by letting members vote and majority ruled; this is why you were affected.

But I shouldnt be because it is a new rule. When I got my senior membership I was supposed to have 3 praised comment.I got 4.The rules were others.Apply the new rules to the new members.

So you have to read two others threads Myryn.

The world is going to end because the new rule is wrong. Praised commens won't change things. Change the number of judges and things will change.

No. From now any guy who is good at poetry analysis will be a senior member soon whereas some old poets will have to wait.

Nominator Status can be re-gained by having 10 praised comments.

If you walked in her shoes for 1 minute you'd understand her frustration.

Of course I lost. The rule was 3 praised comments.It has always been like that. Now things change and I am affected. People come here to read poems not read comments.Besides some poems are invisible here.

I'm sure you're not the only one affected by this, but you're making it seem so. I'm sure if you just write five more praise worthy comments, you'll regain your status and be able to nominate poems again and forget about commenting since you don't seem to think they are important in any way. Yes I'm sure it's frustrating, but at least it hasn't been stripped for good.

Praised comments won't change the nominations. Change the number of judges. If you really want to improve this site, be fair first. Comments where you believe or not are biased.

I won't commennt anybody anymore neither praise people for a comment. Comments should be voluntary and not a Pavlov concept:Write a praised comment and get a nominator status.
