Dollwithafrown, that was really cool to hear! I'm starting to think that all poems (especially rhyming ones) ought to be read aloud to get a true feel for them.

    Also, your accent is awesome.

It didn't come out very well, my mic isn't the best and I think that's my laptop humming irritatingly in the background, but it will give you all an idea of some bit of an Irish accent, lol.

It was great to be able to hear people reciting their poems, it kind of reminds us that poems are meant to be listened to as well as read :)

    - Jordan (from Dungeon)
    - Britt (from Because of You)
    - Yaki (from Snake)
    - Tara (Artless Dreams)
    - Sib (Tidal)

    more is to come :P"

I've heard a couple of voices. It feels good to listen to the voices behind their profile images, or even just, to know if they sound anything like the voices we imagined for them to possess.

Since I've heard a few, it'll only be fair if I post something. It isnt probable to find quite time in a city, even during the night. So I've kept it small and have recited my profile description. I will try for a poem later =)

You may have to turn up the volume.

While I am standing still, I prefer
the stillness here. I am tired of
Earth. These people. I am tired of
being caught in the tangle of their
lives. . . They claim their labors
are to build a heaven, yet their
    heaven is populated with horrors.
Perhaps the world is not made.
Perhaps nothing is made. A clock
without a craftsman. It's too late.
Always has been. Always will be.
    Too late. - Watchmen.

Not aimed at any post above ,but does anyone not believe as I do that it would be much more difficult to put the emotion into a recital of a poem written in play form with intended broken english like we have heard less of in these pro sounding. I have had the honor of listening to one I wrote recited by a group
    Method acting

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For other senses of "The Method", see The Method, a disambiguation page.

Method acting is any of a family of techniques used by actors to create in themselves the thoughts and emotions of their characters, so as to develop lifelike performances. It can be contrasted with more classical forms of acting, in which actors simulate the thoughts and emotions of their characters through external means, such as vocal intonation or facial expression. Though not all Method actors use the same approach, the "method" in Method acting usually refers to the practice, pioneered by Constantin Stanislavski and advocated by Lee Strasberg, by which actors draw upon their own emotions and memories in their portrayals, aided by a set of exercises and practices including sense memory and affective memory.

Method actors are often characterized as immersing themselves in their characters to the extent that they continue to portray them even offstage or off-camera for the duration of a project. However, this is a popular misconception. While some actors have employed this approach, it is generally not taught as part of the Method.

Method acting has been described as "revolutionizing American theater." While classical acting instruction "had focused on developing external talents," the Method was "the first systematized training that also developed internal abilities (sensory, psychological, emotional)."[1]

Method acting continues to evolve, with many contemporary acting teachers, schools, and colleges teaching an integrated approach that draws from several different schools of thought about acting"
I believe there are some that could be great method readers

Keep it up this is very entertaianing
