Just a note of caution with this vocal tool: it's all good so far, (and clubs can make their own rules for this) but make sure you have the poet's permission if you're posting a recording of one of their poems out here in the great wide yonder. Thanks a bucket!

I really enjoyed listening to everyone reading their poems. It's so much easier to feel the poem when it is read aloud.

Here's me reading a "ghazal" I wrote a while back. I added some mood music in the background.

Thanks, though I cheated a bit, since I have a little home recording studio.

I think Abed is the most talented reader so far. He sounds like he was trained in the theater.

This sounds like fun, but every time I try to record myself I get an error message saying that it couldn't connect to the server. Go figure..

Its has been fun listening to people reading their own poems, it adds more emotions to it.

I got the same message as you everlasting. I am guessing that it is probably a good thing for me. It's better for me to just listen.

Btw Fat Giraffe, I am guessing Rabea? You have a darling voice and I really enjoyed it too.

That's my poem, Flavor... I hope that if anyone even takes the time to listen that they will enjoy it... at least to some degree. I will get started on listening to others as soon as I finish posting this. Oh, and sorry I sound like a dead fish as well as a really REALLY freaked out kid.

I did enjoy it, you have a very nice voice. Don't be freaked out, the more you do it the more you will get used to it and you will open up even more. Great job

"Please no posts in a language other than English without a direction translation."

I'm sure there's a typo in there somewhere, Jane :) but it reminds me of an old Cat Stevens song:

"And if I ever lose my mouth, all my teeth, north and south."

LP, why don't you honor us with another reading?
    Maybe some Shakespeare or something...

  • silvershoes

Is there a typo? Is it because I didn't put a comma after please?

Loved that song kiko, never heard it before. Haunting, beautiful lyrics from the 1970's? Maybe you can sing it in your voice and post it, and perhaps replace the moonshadow with silver shadow, and it might be even more jaw (I mean tooth) dropping. :)(Just enjoying your humor kiko!)
Here is a link to this children's song?

Wow what beautiful voices and accents posted on these threads, from all parts of the world, loved the accents and the recitals (just got back in town). Looks like the most popular thread of the month, enjoyed listening.
