Fallen too far...?

There's this guy who I love so so much, he means the world to me, but he wants to get everything else in his life straight before we start going out, because he said it wouldn't be fair for him to not give me 100%. I respect his point...but I love him so much that I cry over him all the time, and I think about him every second of the day. Anyone got any advice on how I can try and get some time in my head focused on other things...? Thanks xxx

Normally when I go swimming I forget about everything and focus straight on doing my lengths...but lately I'm thinking aout him even while I'm swimming! Writing poetry kind of releases the pressure a bit...but then it kind of haunts me looking back over it!

    Time to distract...

Pick a new subject for poetry other than love. Write about swimming, your family, something you really hate, why is the sky blue? Write a poem about distraction.

Story writing, use your imagination, write a bout a day in hell or heaven. What would you have been if you lived 1500 years ago. What would life be like if you were Chinese?

The distraction is right there in your head, Sarah-Louise, you just have to let it distract you.

I would tell this guy that its more important for you to feel like you kind of have him now, then having him 100% later. You can support him and help him emotionally while he straightens out his life and then when he has time he can give it to you, but tell him how you feel and that you want to be with him and help support him now, you cant wait for him because it hurts you too much. If he cares about you he wont want you hurt and he will be with you now.

Other than that distraction is great, but be proactive and try to solve your problem because you cannot live in a pool the rest of your life and it is hurting you.
