The Land of Nod was a place not a town or settlement. If you read the Bible very carfully you will realize that very rarely does it mention a woman being born. Women were not near as important during that time. Cain's wife was probobly his sister. I know that is incredibly wierd, However there was no one else to marry. Adam and Eve probably had more children then the Bible actually mentions. This does not make the Bible false. In fact it seems to show just the opposit due to the fact that women did have such a low statis in Bible days.
God wanted the human race to spread out over the earth that is probobly why she was in Nod. Or he took his sister with him and married her after they reached Nod.
This is my opinion, and an often used arguement on this subject.

Hmmm I think you lead a sad, sad life if you have no faith. I follow Islam and believe whole heartedly in Allah (God) - whether you believe it true or not we as Muslims believe we owe everything to Allah and that everything is of his will...

yes islam does say..that all ur actions are predetermined....but you do not know what actions and things will happen in the future we dont get the chance to see that we dont really know whats around the corner...but Allah does as he is all knowing. ...we do have the choice to live the life whatever way we want....as i am typing this i chose to yet it was written.that would at this particular time..as my creator knows that.

also you have to look at it in another perspective..we as muslims believe that everything abou u was determined before you wer born...this belief is centuries old..

and now if u look the DNA...and the genes within...everything about u is predetermined...what eyes u will have...ur hair colour whether u will have a disease...(i.e the cancer gene..and other genes etc..and once such genes are activated then such unfortunate events will arise but it was pre determined and already there ...get my point.

the DNA is like a book...with eveything about u...literally everything..there is a gene for almost everything it jsut has tro get activated..

but life is all about choice......

it is known that the bible was/has been ammended and changed a number of times...

as it was written in the Bible that it is forbidden to eat pork......

but yet that was changed and amended....and now it is Allowed...this alteration amongst other does rasie questions if the Bible is the tru word of God...

on the other hand...the Quran...written over 1400 Years ago has not been amended..or rewritten...the words are those how they are from the early copies and original writings...

Moses wanted to see the Almighty the Almighty did decended but as the Almighty got close and due to the shear Power...it would have yes ur right killed all of us as we could not widstand the force and power of the presence of the Allmighty ...not in this fragile earth.

but one thing is for sure there ar e parts of the bible which is consistant with the Quran..but the Bible has been changed and amended...yet the Quran hasnt and if u ever get to read the english translation its got really detailed..things about everything

i didnt read all of it so i dont know if somebody posted this but Adam and Eve didnt just have Abel and Cain they had many more children and if u read the bible you'll see that Cain married one of his sisters and named a city after his son Enoc.

Gothic - Now I have to ask you this...what do you know about Islam - nothing in relation to the statement I have just read from you. Try reading the arabic translation not the english of the Quran. Try and obtain your own interpretation of Islam not what the media and other non Muslims portray. Predestined life is a bit extravagant, there is a plan Allah has for all of us but we as humans can alter that plan depending on our actions here on earth. One of the most beautiful gifts Allah ever gave to us as humans was teh gify of choice.
To be honest I care none for your beliefs as mine are secure enough to not have too.

I owe everything to Him as He is what has made who I am today, the mother, the wife and the friend - i have learnt all I know from His words, His guidance and sarificing myself to His faith.

Islam means total submission. In following Islam I submit my life to Allah, and in return I gain inner peace - how can you not understand? I suggest you speak for your own "Gods" as I only believe in one and that is Allah - whom you darling know nothing about which is a shame - maybe you could find some peace too you seem pretty confused :o)

I don't think your choosing your words to the best of your ability Suzy especially considering that you know more than the average 40 year old - or so you claim...You clearly do not have an understanding of any religion but your own...Im glad to see however in your more recent posts that you are gaining some sort of respect for other religions. My advice to you is to talk less and learn more gain your own understanding on these religions and these Gods you are discussing and then present your perspective, until you have learnt about Allah, understand Allah, and Allahs words your opinion is worthless to me, but your thoughts on your own God are respected by myself as that is clearly where your only understanding of religion is...

Myself I have done my research. I wasn't born a Muslim - I was born and baptised into a Christian family, Islam was a choice, a calling from Allah to me which is why i have chosen to devote my life to Islam. I did however before making my conversion research thoroughly and in depth other religions such as Judasim, Christianty, Seventh Day Adventist, Buddhism, Hinduism just to name a few. I was raised in a Christian household and went to Catholic schools so I have a great understanding of the many philosophies as I have endeavoured to discover them on my own account - my suggestion is you do the same :o)
