Lip Ring (please please please read and help)

Ok i have snake bites. and i pierced them myself by taking a ring and squeezing it slowly together for about a month, then it popped through. then i decided to get a center lip ring and again took the ring and squeezed it, now my lip is swollen so that i cant take pliers to take it out. it really hurts too. it hasn't really even been a week so i know it still would hurt regardless. just dont know what to do, and i know most people wont be able to help, just wondering if you could lead me into something that could. my snake bites are good they were there for like three years now, but the center one is barely a month and not all the way through

Snakebites? you mean the lip piercings?
(i dont have any of them and i don't want any of them, but i have a friend who has and i learned from him)
you said it's 'barely a month', he told me they usually heal in a month up to 2 or 3 months. so i suggest you just wait, and clean the wounds as i always see him do, plus there will be swelling, so don't tighten the ring/jewellry, give room for it to swell then heal.. hope that helps.
Now my thoughts on piercings.. most likely there would be infections. why bother piercing yourself?

Not smart to do it yourself... The piercing isn't all the way through and you can't remove it? Go to a doctor or a piercing studio.

Medically that sounds like an infection. i have no idea how this worked for the snake bites, i seriously dont, hopefully you had the sense to sterilize them every day with a shitload of heat, or at the very least some lemon juice. otherwise, if you only sterilized it once, or not at all, then youre just pushing a shitload of bacteria from the surface of your skin to the inside of the fresh wound and bam infection.

Im gonna say go to a doctor, get the ring removed immediately. is it that the ring is literally stuck in your flesh? or is the pain too intense to allow you to remove it?

if its literally stuck in your flesh that would surprise me, it would mean that somehow your skin has become hooked onto the metal, and it might require surgery to remove safely. if the pain is too intense, well... tell me on a scale of 1 to 10 how determined you are to do this on your own but im gonna have to recommend getting to the doctor as the best course of action. going to a parlor is probably just going to get you laughed at and sent to the doctor anyway.

Yeah its not melded to the skin. it just hurts to remove it. it worked for the snake bytes because i tolerated the pain, and right now i just dont feel like doing it. i dated a chick who was a piercer so i know how to keep it clean and all that. you dont have to wash it all THAT much, like twice a day really. its just swollen. its not really a big deal. just the flesh that the ring is in need to heal so i can push it further. thanks for the help though

Out of curiosity, why wouldnt you just do it all at once with a sterilized needle? i mean... granted it might hurt a f*** ton more, but it would do so over a much shorter period of time, and then all you really need to do is insert the sterlized ring to hold it open...

Because i really couldn't find a needle. either time. i suck at needles too. just kinda squeeze it till it pops

For some reason i feel like i would prefer the needle method.

Then why do it yourself....? That makes no sense.

Because it sounds infected just keep it extra clean, you may need to go onto antibiotics so if it carries on then I agree that you should see a doctor but otherwise clean it every time you eat, also use salt water- it really works and rinse your mouth out with anti septic mouth wash regularly:) its pretty new and because you did it with a ring it would swell more than with a needle, also put ice on it for a while for the swelling. Good luck dude:) hope you come right

You dont have to clean it up times a day at all, you just dont even need top touch it.

Some years ago I wanted a belly button and did let that pierced somewhere, the guy told me to clean it up twice a day with salt water.. in a few weeks it fell out.

When it closed I wanted to do it again cause I really waited loong to get it so I went to someone else, everyone said he is a good piercer and found out he actually is.

And it works trust me cause I still have the piercings cause of that :)

He said to me that the other guy was wrong to touch it clean it and rotate it cause that will only do more damage, you just dont need to touch it or turn it or do anything with it after pierced, only when it seems like its getting infected you can put some stuff on it and when it takes long to get it back to normal you have to get it out or else it can end up badly.

I've worked in a tattoo parlour and definitely don't agree with the above comment, the fact that your belly ring came out the first time could have been due to multiple reasons like if it was done with a gun or to far forward it would come out, clothes you wore could have affected it, your skin may not have taken to the metal put in etc...

But seriously, especially because its your lip you need to keep it clean because there's a lot of germs around the mouth so unless you want it to get really septic
