A Missive
by Sibyllene
Perfect. There was serene atmosphere throughout this piece and with the mention of nature, I just swayed with you words through this journey. I could feel the longing expressed through your words and the hope that this message reached its destination. I especially liked the ending; it was worded simply but packed so much. You tied in the nature aspect well with love and seasons. Great touch! Your wording is so exquisite...wow.
"toes drinking in the heat of sun-poured
wood"
^This image is now etched in my mind because of how beautiful and creative it is. You're so clever with your words! Love it!
I loved your repetition of hope...it is essential in life. That is the feeling I had the whole time reading this piece, hope. You tied it in all together nicely. Just brilliant.

This poetess weaves beautiful words throughout pages in ways I can't even describe. I connect to the images as if I am writing them myself, painting them myself. Such a soft piece full of a sense of incredible sadness that just tugged at my heart. The thought of wondering what someone else is doing, what are they thinking, are they wishing to breathe you in? Everything about this poem screams front page, and I hope to see it up there.

Piece of Art
by Ms SunShine
More than anything, this was about surrender. The writer surrendering herself to her lover, without knowing where it will lead her. I loved the deeply feminine tone and the inner strength that the poem is so full of. Very inspirational, a dedication to love in its purest and most unselfish form. Excellent.

The author of this fantastic beauty has designed a powerful, poetic painting.
The title is so beautiful for I feel that poetry is an elegant art... love the title.
I adore the first stanza, with its richness and creative forms of expressions- very romantic. The starting line;
"Write me like a poem" <--------- Mouth dropping and passionate start to this poem.
The nature tones are so beautiful-
The author in my opinion is asking for someone to write of her aura and beauty or memory of; I can't express how exquisite the second stanza is..
The touching and powerful ending is just magical- Asking a lost love to write and create art in her memory- Mercy! This truly is a piece of art.
The entire poem from start to finish is an elegant painting of emotions, mixed with a beautiful display of words. Well done Ms Sunshine

The Only Poem I Will Untitle
by Lebanese Phoenix
I can't express how tear jerking this poem is-
The title is so darn creative and wonderful way to untitled this and for the painful emotions from the author it should be titled as such.
To start this piece off, it expresses in a creative way, just how deep the sadness within is and the feelings towards his father is deeply expressed!
This piece has a ton of sorrowful connections and feelings for son's emotions- This poem is tragic.
Wanting someone to stand up and own up to his actions is expressed creatively within-
" There won't be any spaces;
Just owls and moss
As punctuation" <---------------------Mercy!! Explosive and visual within my mind statement here is very nice.
The ending blew me away- Not to be able to be yourself in front of a parent is heartbreaking!
This poem expresses in such a deep and artistic way the sad sorrow and pain- well done Lebanese Phoenix

TIE breaker comment:
When I first read this poem, there was something I felt other than the evident sadness, it was truth, I felt every emotion and every imagery made me feel like I was in the scene...and it was one of those times when you know that the writer is pouring themselves onto the page, not leaving any inch of themselves behind.
I love the title for its creativity but also for its meaning, that the emotions and the content has no words to title it, it is as it is.
Once again, Abed has blew me away with the person he is and shown his talent in the deepest of poems. "

Siren's Song to her Dear Sailor
by Helen
Yearning and passion are felt deeply by the reader and the mystical world of the siren is eloquently portrayed within this verse. The inner battle she fights to both surrender to him, but at the same time acting out her need for self- preservation is delivered to us in a highly poetical way. Well done.

Cerelia

I love how this piece started...I felt like I was picking up in the middle of something but it didn't feel incomplete in any way...I don't know if that makes sense but like some movies you can watch from the middle and still feel it's deep impact; that is how I felt with the poem. It's like this poem was taken from the middle of something but on its own is amazing. I was just sucked into the scenes you created, thirsty for more. Your descriptive phrases are flawless so full of imagery that isn't forced. Everything just fit in nicely with one another. I loved the ending...oh dear. Your use of "speckled" was wonderful! It was true to your poem. Everything here was just beautiful...anything else I say after that would just be rambling. : )

This poems dark imagery has me with goosebumps up and down my arms. This is such a creepy yet beautiful poem, it's hard to explain. I love that the poem is so heavily focused on the details. I think that's something that truly invokes fear within dark poems - our own imaginations running amok with the images we're given. This writers posting style intrigues me and makes me wonder how she comes up with her lines - the . in the beginning of the poem made me feel like I was reading it backward, and when swapping around it gave the poem a whole new sense of eery. I know there has to be a deep meaning behind this, but I'm so focused on the sheer creep-factor that I can't delve into it more. This is amazing

Sleep Escape
by Beautiful Chaos
This poem explores the process of inner growth that takes place as we look inwards. I like how she makes it insightful, without being tedious. Although the poem is lengthy, it kept me interested until the end and I found myself nodding in agreement at the end of it. A beautiful philosophical read, with a huge life's lesson inside of it. Very well done.

A Mother's Beauty
by Meena Krish
A beautiful praise to mothers! Your words were so genuine and heartfelt which provided such a warmth and comfortable vibe to this poem. I could just feel myself nodding after every line because it was all so true! You crafted a mother's day poem with great creativity that didn't feel clichéd one bit.
"she is the bearer of pain but never succumbs to it"
^Hard to pick a favorite line from the piece, but this one stuck out to me the most. First of all, I love the use of "succumb" in a poem. The truth here was out of bounds. A mother's strength can never be measured.
I really enjoyed this poem, it just seeped beauty

Ships

I have to say that while I don't always agree with the topics of his poetry, Abed is a true activist in his writing. He uses it to his advantage, to bring people into his world and captivate them with this beautiful language, beautiful images, and then hit you with his reality. This poem did exactly that for me. I loved the ending about it being a sailor's song. I felt that was just the perfect ending to such a heartfelt and emotional poem. I can picture a ship in the middle of the ocean, forgotten with faint sounds of wailing. It's a creepy image but one that also has such poetic beauty. Wonderful write this week!

The Sky's Still Pink, Momma 4 points
by Poet on the Piano
I'm so deeply touched by this piece-
What a unique and precious title- very touching.
The love of a daughter to her mother is elegantly expressed within. A heart touching lay out of unconditional love...
"this love has turned the world into
the color that flushes the skyline now." <----------- love these lines.
"
Everyone says you can't turn around
at the end of an occupied day,
but it's still pink outside
and you were always called to be
no one else but my Momma." <-------------------- No matter what the bond and support is always there....
Mercy..... the ending is so darn powerful... No matter what the connection and bond is always there...
From start to finish the tears fell while I read this poem- Well done Poet on the Piano
