    Indecisive
    by Xanthe

"I read this poem several times over and found myself more pulled in every time. I absolutely adore this line:
    'We talked,
but I couldn't hear your voice
and that was the beauty of it; two
    strangers.'
I love how you imply that it doesn't matter what was said, it was the energy and sentiment that mattered. You talked but you couldn't hear each other and it was beautiful. How eloquent! This is such a wonderful poem, and it makes me so curious who it was written for. Well done.

    -----

This drew me in right away and it felt as if I stepped into an old black and white movie. I could almost taste the coffee and underwent the same indecisive feeling the writer must have had whilst writing this poem. I think this was both highly creative and intellectual and simply beautiful because of the way this was kept small.

    ------

This was crafted so beautifully! I could just feel the emotions and pain you must have felt when writing this piece because it was so raw and evident in your words. You just captivated me right from the beginning and I could just feel the hope slipping as I went further into the poem. The more I read the poem, the more it saddened me because I could relate so easily to your words of writing vacant poetry of a love that could never be...it's like wishing on a fading star that you know will never shine your way. That knowing...that feeling...that vacancy is so suffocating that it is so difficult to pen it eloquently into a poem and you did that perfectly here. Sometimes the hardest things is knowing whether to give up or just try harder...distinguishing between the two could be exhausting. This was just flawless. I loved it.

    Today I realize
    by Poetess

"I have to agree with what Sibyllene wrote on this author's poem. Noura has a clever way of incorporating earthy, modern objects into her writing, which is contrastingly ethereal. She transcends overused, tired metaphors and effortlessly expresses herself in fresh, new ideas and comparisons. Not to be overlooked, Noura is also excellent at capturing complex, relatable emotions. When I read her poems, I feel as if she is showing me what I already know, or have experienced, but couldn't seem to untangle on my own. I read each stanza and think, 'Yes! Yes, I know! But how did you?' Excellent job, poetess!

    "that broken stuff sometimes
    do draw eternity."
^ Maybe this should be does instead of do.

Although I don't like the use of "un-daydream", I did like the rest of the poem. Again another strong poem this week about poetry and metaphors, riddled with beautiful imagery. I especially liked the ending the best, stitching is a great verb she used here and I felt it was really creative. Typically you see weave, so stitching gave it a little bit more of an "edge" to me. Awesome write!"

    by Mera Luna

This piece made my mouth drop! Mera Luna has taken the daunting experience of exams, and created an explosive poem.....

I really love her metaphoric style within this piece. The word display was spectacular...the second stanza wording was just awesome!!

I have to say, this poem is more than just a number 132... this author stands our in the crowd with this poem!!

I can't express enough the detailed display of word imagery within this poem... just blew me away-
    Well Done Mera Luna

    Comment from the Tie Breaker:

Admittedly, this poem didn't strike me at first, but I decided to give it another chance. Upon my second read, I discovered heaps more meaning wrapped up in some very clever diction. The ending is perfect.

    Mini Things
    by LP

"Even though bits of the poem seemed over dramatic, it added to the ease/drama of this poem, if that made any sense. The imagery is absolutely powerful and the stanza about the cheese/honeycomb was probably my favorite. I think this is something that most writers can feel drawn to, and I hope it's on the front page this week! I just had another read and that second stanza just kills me, it's beautiful!"

    Today, I convinced myself
    by Everlasting

This was great...just so great. You had such a great flow going that I didn't stumble on anything while reading it and was sad to see it end so soon.

"for in them, I metered not my words
    but my feelings."
^Wow! Metering feelings...what an interesting concept! We do that though, don't we? Try to contain our emotions in a certain bracket in order to not lose control over them...

The image you crafted of trying to get rid of your emotions with a pen were so relatable for me. That is what poetry has become for me...a way to release emotions in order to not become overcome by them.

"to inject my ink of anger,"
^ I LOVE how this sounded when I read it out loud...I just wanted to say it over and over lol. Great play with words.

"I lost control of the beasts
of my feelings, for I freed them
Perhaps not within all my poems
    but within my soul."
^This is what made the poem for me...it was the epiphany. I agree that we release emotions in our souls when we set them free in our poems and poetry helps us realize things that we didn't even know we felt before. That is what makes it such a cathartic experience.

This poem was penned so wonderfully! Great job!

    The Night
    by Lebanese Phoenix

As I read this, it was as if I was transported to another place in time and I saw the writer sitting next to a deceased child. I am not sure if it was meant that way, but this is how it came across..so intensely sad and hopeless. As if the writer is trying to say that he and his people can no longer be touched by their oppressor, because they have detached themselves from their worldly needs. I saw liberation, as the human body was left behind and the childs spirit floated away on the nightly breeze. A very moving poem.

    Syllable Sisters (English Sonnet)
    by Maple Tree

A Sonnet and a tribute to the female poets of this world, what a treat! Beautiful poetic wording and perfect in format and imagery. To picture them as queens dancing in a garden is so unique, yet exactly how it feels deep down (for us, romantics at least!) It most certainly brought a smile to my face. Well done.

    Lulling Myself Into Sunshine
    by Tara Kay

Tara Kay has created a beautiful piece here, taking her sorrow within and rejuvenating her thoughts and feelings into a nature toned masterpiece.

I love her style and her creativity- When a soul grows weary, that is the time when one must frun to the sunshine and natures beauty and just bathe in all its glory..

I adore this piece. I love poems that really dig deep within the soul and add a touch of flare and flavor within.. Well Done Tara Kay

    Asking Avery
    by Jad

Jad made me all teary with this piece... I read it several times and each time I could feel the pain of a broken heart...

His detailed design within each stanza just left my heart hurting. The pain of a broken heart and ending a relationship is so painful that in reality it can create powerful and heart gripping poetry...

This poem deserves to be highlighted... the flow of each line was very pretty and elegant... I love that within a poem... Well Done Jad

    Thirty Three
    by Britt

"The title of this poem intrigued me - I thought maybe it was inspired by the Smashing Pumpkins song. When I realized thirty three was the number of days until your wedding, I braced myself for a horribly mushy, love-sick puppy type poem. However, I was pleasantly surprised (and wrong!). Such a lovely, meaningful poem, and a good start to base your vows. You clearly love Jason and understand what love means, with all its ups and downs and in betweens. I wish you happiness! Great poem."

My Italiana by GIrL aka Meme

This poem should come with two tickets to Italy! :) It made me want to go to Italy so much more than I already do lol. This was such a fun poem to read and I like how you incorporated Italy into it so easily. This was just seeping with cuteness! Although there were no tickets involved...I did feel like I was in Italy because you did a great job to create the scene with your flawless use of imagery. Nicely done!

    Never Leave Me Dreamless
    by Yaki

"I voted for this poem last week and feel it still gets a vote this week. A very emotional poem that I really can't put into words how it makes me feel. I just connected to this piece in ways not all poetry grabs you. It's strong and captivating, and I really hope to see it on the front page!"

JUDGES if I missed anything, please do send me a pm, or anyone else lol :) thaanks for your patience had a hectic begining for this week..!
