If you're 16 in the UK you can go to your local gp and talk to him/her, and it will be in complete confidence. You can go if you're under 16, but they can't promise complete confidence. Some gp's are really helpful about it. They will make a referral for you to see a counsellor, or if the depression is especially bad they will make a referral for you to see a psychiatrist. They will also give the option of antidepressants.
Otherwise you could ring the Samaritans, they have a number you can call, im not too sure what it is, but you can research it on the net.
You should really get help as soon as you notice yourself behaving differently e.g losing pleasure in activites you once enjoyed, sleeping problems, self harm. if you're having suicidal thoughts and actions, then you really really really do need to get some help, to help you through this.
