It's 27th/6 Alreadaaaay! [Animals & Trees Contest!]

Hey guys!

So, it's 27th June and I have no more excuses. :P I hope this will be soo much fun for both me and you. Oh and the judges.

The contest won't be as solid as the title of this thread shows...nooo nature, nooo forms (although you can use them just incase you want to) so don't worry! :)

I won't talk too much, will just post up the rules and some explanations and if you have any question, feel free to ask here or through a PM, but please don't give a hint that you want to/did participate. I want to keep everything a mystery. It will be much more fun.

1)- You can enter up to three pieces, but I advise you to keep editing and re-editing till it looks just perfect. And if you feel like writing more or you feel like the first piece just doesn't satisfy you or anything, or perhaps you feel inspired, then you are free to submit more than one poem.

2)- Do not submit your piece to your account until the contest is totally over and even if you get eliminated or don't make it to the deadline in other rounds, you keep the piece with you until the contest is all over. Do PM me the pieces and don't reveal yourself in anyway.

3)- There are terms that you MUST use in your poem, they are such cliche terms and here I'll be testing your creativity. Though keep in mind, that they aren't words but TERMS. Three terms only needed out of the six I will give you.

4)- You are going to liken something/someone to an animal/tree. Google a name, open a book, find whats so interesting. The more weird your choice is, the more awesome your piece will turn out to be. Do not use those over-used trees/flowers/plants. Thats for sure my advice, nothing more and nothing less. You can use any kind of animals whether it be legendary, odd or unexisted, real, etc etc. It is after all YOUR choice and the judges will decide if it will work out or not.

Edited: Eeeeeks, forgot to post the six terms! There you go:

[deadened/metaphors - blues/roses - chasing/shadows - imaginary/skies - mute/bodies - cliche/beauty]

An example: Tonight is like an old metaphor; deadened. Blah :P you do this. Haha.

You choose three of them and 'shove' them into the piece in an original way!

That's it! I hope it isn't as disappointing as I feel it is, haha. So you have till 5th July to turn in your poem, that means a whole week (and half a day ;P). I won't change the deadline UNLESS the majority of the participants, only the participants ask me to.

Hey Chels, no, there are three rounds here. Well, actually, I have more ideas but it depends on how many people will participate. I don't think so many will. I hope not though!

No! Challenges aren't ever bad they challenge the mind....you're makin us do research, compare a person or scenario to an animal or tree....tough to do because its time consuming, but super interesting. I like it

Yeah, really all nature related stuff are acceptable but I repeat, my advice is not to use those mice/flies/spiders/ants things. Google, search, find something weird, know information about it and if you feel it fits something/someone you have in mind then start to write it.

I was advised by Cynnie to give you websites where you can find lots of things. I will. In a matter of minutes. :)

Yeah, yeah, you said that in the insects contest there in the club and you came up with a piece that had 27 points out of 30. Go write something. Haha. But yuppers, in a way, I find the hairclips/mice image weird, hahaah.

It was hairclips/flies actually lol...
and it was just a random thing but saying that right...
hairclips really get on my nerves, as do flies and hairclips slide, and flies fly...

No, not the same person, and that made me like wow... That doesn't increase your chance of winning in my opinion, because you could post up to 300 pieces and they all suck, haha. I just felt some will be inspired and want to submit more than one poem. Yes the poems must be different. No editing allowed once I get it.
