Danny, I will gladly watch your bearded dragon. I used to have 2 lizards: an Asian sandfish and a Calotes aka Japalura or Tree Dragon. The Calotes was one of the coolest pets I've ever owned. He was a smart and affectionate little guy.

Fact is that I didn't really do much of the typical stuff mothers do, I was more of a friend to my son and still am. I love to go for a jog and talk and have a good laugh with him, but don't ask me to sew clothes and such:)

I guess you just feel maternal.

You have a huge heart Ingrid, and you make everyone feel welcome and valued. That's the epitome of a mom. Forgiving, understanding, loving, generous...
Also, I think moms are often like our friends, as you mentioned. Over time my mom has become like a peer whom I can confide in completely. She only wants the best for me and forgives all of my faults.
My dad on the other hand is my rock; sometimes he's like a dark looming shadow. He wants the best for me, but also expects the best from me.
