^You're right. He just closed his account & vanished, in thin air? Sorry to see a talented artist on a tear suddenly "run" with his art. Just as I was beginning to enjoy more and more of his art, and loving his style. In particular the Ourboros, wrote the longest comment ever (for me), and days later he decides to close out on PnQ? Why not leave the account open when one decides to take a vacation?

Qn: When people come back, why do some folks come back with their poems and others not? Is it something to do with the way they close the account?

Some people ask for their accounts to be temporarily suspended and then later get reinstated, all poems in tact. When you delete your account, you can't reinstate it. You must create a new one, losing everything.

As I had suspected. Thanks. Are the messages any different when you click on their account? or just "This account has been closed" or "This account has been suspended."

EDIT: Just clicked on a praised comment of his in my account, and the message says "this poem has been deleted.'' ?? That is really sad, as a lot of effort went in to research it and write an educated comment.

Oh, I was about to go read his poems. It does look empty.

^^ Your comment is praised. If the poem is deleted, the comments are still there...if you would have clicked on the number beside the title of the poem, you would see all of the comments, and I believe the one you are talking about is praised.

I am worried about why he left. He was such a strong writer and everything. I really liked him, even though I did not know him well...he had a kind heart.

Let's just make the 1st Top Rated Recent poem the 3rd winner... lol

^^ Sorry, what I meant was when you click on the name of the poem (Ourboros) which is in the praised comment, you get a message that "this poem is deleted", suggesting that he really took his poems with him. I guess the mods know better.

David, I guess one someone asks any mod to close his account, his/her poems also vanish.

They only reappear whenever mods reactivate the account (that is done by agreement on a specific time before departure;;; or even a request on fcbk)

I'm almost positive Danny's account was hacked.

Without going in to detail, I received a message that was meant to look as though it was written by him, but having been friends for years I know better. Unfortunately, I believe said person who sent me the out of sorts and hurtful message also deleted his account. :l

Anyone else get any red flags?

I have contacted him by other means, and will let you know if I hear anything.

Novalyn....I think you could be right. I spoke to Danny only last night and he gave no indication that he was considering leaving P&Q. Infact....this is a sentence, by him, that was part of our conversation...

He was signed in earlier this morning. The list showed his name twice..I've seen this happen before (sometimes members names show up numerous times at the same time) so I didn't really pay attention but..maybe something happened then. Just thought I'd mention this.

Actulally come to think of it I saw the same thing but it was a different user.
I wonder if he even knows yet.

As Nana stated Danny wasn't hacked, he deleted his account. Lets hope he returns sometime in the near future.

So his real girlfriend found out that he writes poetry, got jealous of his communications with his virtual one's (PnQ), hacked into his account, wrote nasty messages and deleted his account. (Just kidding!)

Lesson learnt: Share your love, but not the key (PnQ password) to your heart, unless you know that someone special truly loves you. They may come back and destroy thou arts Shakespearean art! Thanks for the lesson Danny!
