I think you love him as a best friend and you've been trying to make something more out of it.

If you haven't totally blown the relationship I'd advise you to be there as a friend.

I know it can be really hard to completely let go. I let go 3 months ago and I still love the guy. However, the only that that mends a broken heart is what mends everything else..time. Some days it will seem like the day will never come, but it does. Just be patient.
