Hunger Game - First Round: Nostalgia

The green button is on.
And the 12 contestants are set free in the Hunger Game zone.

Each one of them finds a safe hiding place, in order to plan thoroughly who his/her next prey will be. The 1st move is always the hardest, that's why there is not a single movement, just yet.

Let's see what every contestant is doing in the meantime.

- Gatlin is loading her gun amongst bushes.
- Sweetie Pie is baking poisoned creme brulee underground.
- Taka is closely watching the arena upon fuzzy clouds.
- Aleyah is communicating with spirits and demons.
- Frosty is slumbering beneath an icy lake.
- Ambrosial Blackbird is camouflaging amongst black mud.
- Eternal Flame is setting a fire inside a deep cave.
- Isobel Gowdie is tattooing a raven upon her skin.
- Iron Eagle is soaring amongst a flock of pigeons.
- Rebella is skinny dipping in a toxic river.
- Blind Archer is collecting frog eye balls.
- Luciana is teaching baby elephants to trumpet.

Suddenly, a wave of nostalgia hits the arena...

All contestants are dreading the moment they were born because they were destined to be a part of this. Adrenalin. Tears. Fear. Oh dear, this is not a suitable time for nostalgia... It is the enemy of survival! They are looking back... Some of them were dragged by the ear to the arena. Others were confiscated from their homes. They didn't have a chance to utter their farewell to their beloved ones. They were forced to leave. And little do they know if they will return back home safe, or murdered in mourning coffins.

In this round, you are required to write a poem describing the aforementioned state of "nostalgia" after being forced to leave your home - Whom/What did you leave behind? Whom/What will you miss the most? How did you leave? And what destiny do you foresee? You can start by incorporating the questions to those answers in your piece, and there will be a free space for you also, to be original and creative. Go beyond the imaginable! I need to see metaphors, similes, and personifications. And the poem shouldn't exceed 32 lines of medium length each. (PS: the link to the song above can be your source of inspiration.)

You should write novels!!! They'd be a bigger hit than The Hunger Games :)

Max, we only have a maximum. We don't have a minimum. So write from 1 line to 32 lines. But Of course, if you write something very short, it wouldn't be interesting.
