Sorry, I'm not sure if I know, is it something to do with witchcraft being related to the devil? I've never heard any of my Christian friends say anything bad about witchcraft so sorry I can't really help you. xxx

doesn't bother me one way or another... what ever floats your boat. Just don't expect to practice your particular brand of religion (whatever it may be) in my house without asking real nice first.

I don't really care what religion anyone is. It's who they are and it's not my place to judge that.

Why do you think Christians aren't big fans of Witchcraft? Don't get suckered in by all that devil nonsense, Witchcraft, which is basically the same thing as being Pagan, was accepted by the Roman Catholic church way back in the old days, and merged in to one faith.

For any faith to exist, there has to be a system in place within that undermines any rival faiths...unfortunately, Witchcraft got it hard because when it was at it's height, the church was clamping down on individuals who were powerful and respected in an almost holy way by others, as often the local Witch [ who was often no more than a modern herbalist ] was. These independant men and women were a threat to the power of the church....and so they focussed on the negative ideas that Pan, who is a trickster diety of pagan origin, is usually represented as a horned humanoid sort of resembling a Goatman..and slapped the devil title on it.

    It's all politics.

Witchcraft is silly, though i am a sucker for pretty young wiccans.

If having lovely pale skin and black hair is a spell then yeah...every time.

A high priestess of an Edinburgh Wiccan coven tried to Hex me once caused i said she was a fraud in front of all her underlings..she chanted some bastardised latin at me and then proclaimed i'd get seriously ill within a few days....i laughed in her face and walked out. She owns a shop near the centre of town where she sells cheap ornaments she buys 5 minutes beforehand in local charity shops which she then passes on to innocent wannabe wiccans as "authentic celtic artifacts"...for about a month i tormented her by nipping in to her shop wave to her and her drones....showing off my healthy unhexed body.....in the end she proclaimed that i must have witch blood in me to have avoided her powers...what a croc!

But yeah....some of the young ones were...impressed at my defence...i showed them some magic...huh huh huh.

religion is just a way to make rules...for a population of people...

if we just had one big religion maybe everything would be easier...or maybe no religions at all and just laid down the iron fist

The reason that Witchcraft/ Paganism is singled out by religious (monotheistic) groups is because it was the main thing that they were combatting when the Bible was written and religions began running rampant, mainly Catholocism (Charlemage, etc.). What defines "Pagan" is the "worshipping" or "acknowledgement" of more than one God, that is not the religious God.

Mostly harmless nature spirits, things of that nature. Paganism makes a whole hell of alot more sense to me than the Bible and religion, but thats just me.

    déjà vu dum dum.
Anywho, some christians dont accept pagan religions such as wicca, but a lot are completely indifferent. At least wicca makes actual sense. Some wiccans believe in what they are doing, some are complete frauds, which give wicca a bad name. Its not a particular diety that hates it, its just a certain type of person. Its mainly through lack of understanding. When I was going through my 'blessed be, god and goddess, spells and mystical artifacts' stage, people at school did not get it at all. They called me witch and evil and asked if I would turn them into frogs. That hurt. Anywho, they just don't comprehend it at all. To conclude, its not religions that detest wicca, its just ignorant people.

Christians are told to stay on the straight and narrow way. This means that no other religion can get you to heaven. That is my personal belief and I don't wan't to argue about it.

THANK YOU TO WHOEVER POSTED THIS TOPIC! iv been waiting for someone to come out of the closet and post something like this. This topic is very contrversal when it comes to religion and belief and I for one am open minded about this certain thing. Although witchcraft isnt centered in religion it is based on a religion which is WICCA but does not have to be assosiated with it. My gf is against witchcraft because she think its the devil....well that shows how open minded she is. She used to be into it til i got her into it and she did the stupidest thing anyone could ever do as a beginner in the practice. She tried to summon her dads spirit and bring him back and therefore as a ormal result a cold chill rushed through her. Well I can call this understandable because i know how much she misses him but summoning a spirit is not something you wanna do your first time in practicing witchcraft wouldnt you agree? Well iv put up what i wanna say besides for how many years i have been practicign in which is 4 and a half but have quit recently due to gf issues.....love is so tough these days.
