    Okay. so I decided to make this thread for us to discuss some of our favorite made up words that we use. Words that are either jokes with friends from misspeaking, or from any other source. Also, phrases that have been messed up from their common use.

    ex. of a phrase: A couple of my friends and I often say"Hope springs a turtle" when the phrase is really "Hope springs eternal" this is because in Marine Bio in high school one day, I said "Hope springs eternal" to my friend Trent, and he responded with "What about a turtle?!" Not so funny to others I suppose, but pretty funny for us.

    Words that I think are fun:

    Blooby: an adjective taken from a cartoon I like to watch called "Adventure Time". If something is "blooby" it's awesome, cool, exciting. Generally you enjoy it. To accentuate that point, one might also call something "Tops blooby"

    Bazoobs: adj. Also from A.T. pretty much the same meaning as "blooby" bazoobs is used (by my brothers and friends, and anyone else who is really into the show) to say that something has gone well, according to plan. etc.

    "Bumpity"
    Synonym of bumpy.

    It's a word I used as a kid because I thought it was right, and my parents didn't bother to correct me.

    Gosagotti- (Gah-suh-got-e) because my youngest pronounced spaghetti like this for years no matter how much we corrected her, then it became second nature to say we were having gosagotti for supper.

    There are some others, just can't think atm

    Ted = definitely

    Started with saying rapper Mos Def's name in place of 'most definitely'

    'Mos def' changed to just 'mos'

    One day my roommate said "Ted Mosdefby" (A play on Ted Mosby's name from How I Met Your Mother).

    He then just started saying Ted.

    Curmatose = let sleeping dogs lie

    ( my own word from my practice, referring to abusive husbands who don't answer a suit, thereby defaulting rather than going public. )
