HG - Round #3: COLLABORATIONS

Through the 2nd round, "2" contestants were murdered by professional survivals who used original hunting techniques. So we are left now with 6 people fighting hungrily to remain in the game and return back home safe & sound with an everlasting HG title.

Apparently, our contestants aren't dying easily, for the sole plans aren't efficient enough. That's why 'Unity' is the best tactic to thrive.

In this round, you are required to write in groups of TWO. The Hunger Games will 'constructively' choose for you your partner (BEHIND THE SCENES).

The collaborations must:

- revolve around the following theme:

` In this round, we have 3 poems only to be judged. The score of the poem will thus be the score of both partners.

` 4 contestants will be eliminated according to their cumulative scores.
` Remember that a Collaboration means 'UNITY'. So both partners should be synchronized in order to get the highest amount of points!

` Remember also that your partner can help you get a very high score if you cooperate well. But if you don't, he/she can expose you to loss! This is where you need to display a high IQ and a higher talent..

` Do NOT post any poems before the contest is over.

When you stated to include two titles from that list, do you mean within the poem or as in the two poets must choose the same title from the listed poems?

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

In the Hunger Game books, during the war 74 years before story time, the Capital mutated a blue jay species to become ideal mimics, especially of the human voice. Then they released the birds to spy on the rebels.

However, the rebels caught on quickly and began feeding misinformation to the birds whose reports back to the capital caused confusion in meeting rebel attacks.

The capital gave up on the project, abandoning the jay birds to the wild. The jays mated with mockingbirds, creating a new breed called the mockingjay. These birds were excellent mimics as well, but of song. They often would sing human tunes heard only once, incorporating a few into their long term repertoire. A couple of examples: the tune to Katnis' dad's song (she sang it to Rue as the child died); Rue's signal to Katnis.

The mockingjay has become the symbol of resistance ever since the war, with the arrow signifying the struggle; this connection is why President Snow commented upon seeing it on Katnis' wardrobe.

If one does not choose to go the Hunger Games route and souly focus on what it actually means, that is ok too Abed? I know first round people felt it was unfair they were judged on the hunger games without reading it or having a passion for it..

Aha, there is much trickery and debauchery running amok it seems, a lot of collaborators in the slew, I don't know who, but have a clue because of the Sparrow inclined!

Larry, awesome memory!!!! I'm really fond of the way the HG writer thinks.

BUT I don't want HG details or events in the poem..... there is just this picture. What do think about when you see it?

There is a contestant who lost in the 2nd round and was able to guess correctly who wrote which advancing poem of the 2nd round!!!!!

I will be pairing him/her with a PnQ member (either with those who lost in the contest.. or any PnQ member)....

So now, we will eliminate 5 contestants.
