I am not American, but I send my consolations to all the families who lost a member. May they rest in peace.

    Let's pray for them!

Very nice of you to post, Nour. A lot of people argue over this point in history and its significance, but this does not change the fact that lives were lost and that the world changed on that day.

I refer back to a thread I posted on the main discussion forum on 17th August,

I thinks it shows that it still effects me even now,

(I was having a lunch break at home when the first plane hit, as I was leaving the second hit. Once back at work we put the news on and stood in silence.................the world did change)

    here is my post

Ok, another question for you lovely lot.

If you could change just 1 thing from the past what would it be?

(it can be your own life or in general)

Although I live in England I would love to have been able to succesfully warn of the 9/11 terroist attack in New york. (Maybe set both fire alarms off in the twin towers so they were evacuated or maybe cause the airports to be closed, so the planes could have never taken off)

    over to you.

I remember watching it on the news, being too young to fully understand it at the time but watching documentaries about it since, it must have been horrifying.

Peace to all who died and to the brothers, sisters, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and friends left behind by such tragedies.

RIP to all the firefighters, military men, volunteers, policemen, workers and everyone who had to witness this tragedy and lost someone in it.
I think I was just in 1st grade when it happened, but it's part of America's past that can strengthen us into knowing we are all united.

    We will remember <3

I remember watching the news constantly, seeing New York covered with ashes. I actually just came across my diary entry from that day. At that point, reports were still jumbled and incomplete. It was interesting to look back and see what we knew then, what we didn't know, and what came to light as years went by.

Thinking of everyone who was affected by this, in the US, Afghanistan, Iraq, and everywhere.

Rest in peace to those who we lost on 9-11, and rest in peace to the soldiers we lost in the after math.

I would like to share something with all of you.

I work with lovely people who have been afflicted with Alzheimer's and Dementia, here in New York.... Yesterday, we talked about 911... Each day it is hard for them to remember what they last ate for breakfast, but they remember 911.. a few of them lost loved ones that day. Many of them shared their feelings and I have to tell you that there wasn't a dry eye in the room.... thank you Noura for posting this thread. Peace~
