ILLEGAL NOMINATIONS

Ahem. Now that I've got your attention.... this isn't actually so dire.

This is just a reminder that you cannot nominate your own poems for this contest. -This includes poems you co-wrote.-

We've had this happen several times lately, by members who didn't mean anything by it, but who just wanted to support their co-writers. We're not going to tar and feather you if the rule slips your mind, but we will tell the judges not to vote for that poem for the week, unless others have independently nominated it as well.

If you have any questions with this rule, please write in the thread below, because others might be wondering the same thing as you.

    Sibs out.

"I have a crush on sibs and her overly charismatic personality tho"

Sibs, your shock tactic even worked on me!

I would love to have someone braid my hair. The four year old I was a nanny for always wanted to "do my hair," and I was like ".... yes please." I might fall asleep, though. That tends to be my near-instant-nice-head-touching response.

I once wanted to date someone with locks...

not that, it is relevant in this conversation or anything
    I'm just saying..

ugh, I love playing with people's hair..I had the bad
habit of wanting to comb everyone's hair till one day
this girl in my class who looked like she never showered, came to school with a messy bun

and she looked crazy and I was like,
"Come here, let me fix your hair for you"

    ...and...

    and..............

    and...

she had like 8 generations and 89 species of lice in her hair.. so...

I itched all the way home, and I will never forget that

Eeeew. There was a live epidemic going around the school I worked at last year, and I was paranoid for months.

Fun fact, though: lice actually prefer people with clean hair and regular grooming habits. If you don't shower a ton, your hair gets greasy, and lice have trouble holding on. There were some families of kids who had it who were just mortified, because they thought it meant that their home was unclean or something, but that's actually not how it usually works. (Yes, I read all the pamphlets during the winter-long reign of terror.)
