Quick Rant

People that get on here to whine, criticize, or otherwise tell people stupid opinions is wasting their time. I had someone tell me poetry is not "a release of emotion". News flash,it is for many people, including me, so, that makes that person a liar. Lol. Telling someone else what the basis of their writing is. Pathetic, self absorbed, and stubborn. Awesome qualities! Bet your parents are proud. Lol. :) Oh, btw, unless you can physically slap me in the face your opinion does not matter. Computer drama... Some people are pathetic. Now I'm going to go enjoy my "emotional release" thank you very much. Oh and by the way age isn't a factor. Unless you count yours because your old, whiny, and too stuck in your ways to have an open mind. Must be hard. Lol. :) Onward to scribblings. Have a nice day everyone. :)

I'm cracking up at the thought of a writer telling another writer this... we as a whole generally know people write for different reasons, and a huge part of that is to release the emotions that we feel. I definitely think everyone does that at some point in time.

Totally agree. Not everyone writes poems about flowers, trees, seasons, and such things. A lot of writing, most of mine, comes from within myself, not the outside world. Lol. The world would be pretty boring if if no ones emotions are put into anything.

I'm sure many people know who I'm referring to. And if that individual has such high opinions about being criticized they shouldn't criticize other people. Common sense. Lol. I did not include names because I am not a slanderous person. Just don't rag on others and not be able to take a little back. No one around here died and crowned anyone else superior.

I read Karla's thread earlier and I could bite my tongue because I don't give a damn bout downvoters and I knew I would be thrown with insults if I open my mouth so yup kept it shut.
and now I see a new trend on here that every member could make a new thread to offend someone and it's ridiculous. I guess you can take it to PMs or let the mods handle it but bringing it to the forums is quite childish and will only offends you.

My advice for you would be to calm down and let go of things. Drama isn't pleasant, especially when one takes their goddamned laptop and goes to PnQ to find some peace of mind.

If you have concerns about the site, new ideas, or a topic to discuss, feel free. These ideas can even be controversial... bring 'em on.

But. If you have a bone to pick with one or two people, send them a message - don't start a personal thread that's only going to turn into ridiculous posturing and repeated attempts to save face and get the last word in. If you want everyone to see you, you start a thread. If you actually want to fix the problem, you send a PM. Sure, it can be amusing to perpetuate drama, but now I have a headache from all the eye rolling I had to do here. The next guilty party gets to buy me a new bottle of Tylenol.
