I don't know what you're talking about, Britt.

Thanks for editing the comment, Chels.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Karla. I guess if the insults are analytical, I have a tendency to let them slide. If they're blatant, they're harder for me to ignore.

But I need to hear it straight from you, Karla, if you want me to believe it's true. Don't let me be the last to know. Don't hold back, just let it go.
I need to hear you say you need me as a mod all the way.

As far as I know, nobody has been penalized (meaning penalties given by mods). If they have been, I would disagree with that.

Do I think this thread is inappropriate? Yeah. I think it's rude. But I'm not arguing that it doesn't have the right to exist. It totally does.

Unless we're going to solve the eons old argument about how subjective or objective art is, (and, SPOILER ALERT! We're not...) then I think we just have to accept that these are the standards we have in place. Unless you have a concrete, specific argument for how to improve our contest system (which I will always welcome), I think we're done here for a while. That's my "forthrightly honest" opinion. You're free to disagree, I just don't see it going anywhere.

I'm sorry if I came across as too aggressive. Some unexpected things came up in my "real life" today and I think I'm just kind of raging. But people don't deserve to get caught in the crossfire of my emotions. I'm gonna leave Jane to deal with this one.

"I don't know what you're talking about, Britt."

I'm surprised you haven't told Chels that she's not a girl, not yet a woman, what with not understanding what RM says :P

One of my really good friends LOVES Britney. Has stuck by her even though her bald days.

It makes me really glad I'm not famous.

My young sister loves her too. I prefer Liz Fraser, Annie Lennox, Siouxsie, Kate Bush, Madonna, Carly Simon and Carole King.

I am glad that you see it this way and sympathize with your personal problem.
But in no stretch of mind I could find anything rude about my thread, unless the lack of the knowledge about Nana's judging status. If it is rude, I already apologized for that.
I know though where that notion of rudeness spring from, exactly, but I do not wish hehe to talk psychoanalysis here, as you might remember the result years ago.

Siby my old friend your post was so mature and classy as the one of silvershoe's that I bow with grace.
Thank you not for my sake, because I have been beaten up so hard in before that all my skin is callous and thickened like Rhinoceros,
my appreciation is for the tradition that you guys putting forward versos the one that ruled this site forever.

But if I may, please think about how much objectivity is right to apply a little farther I might learn something from you in that regard

"But if I may, please think about how much objectivity is right to apply a little farther I might learn something from you in that regard"

I will do this. I do recognize that one can't use subjectivity as a crutch. At some point you just have to bite the bullet and take a stand. I have a lot of trouble making absolute arguments (maybe it's my philosophy background!) but I get where you're coming from.

    O.O

Oh. Okay. haha. I probably misread you, Britt.

And I am not understanding anything that Real Meaning is saying though I like philosophy. I think he's doing it on purpose lol.

I think that LP is trying to say that he needs to take some philosophy lessons.

Ddavid is simply fighting for objectivity on the site while we know that art is purely subjective. I think he's got a touch of ISFP in him.

  • Decayed

    Ahem.

No, I'm in no need for philosophy lessons.

We live in a world that doesn't need philosophy anymore.

    "Fighting for objectivity"?
lol... by what? being so vague and random?

Objectivity is the cornerstone of journalism. I bet that you won't ever see Real Meaning on CNN for example.

LP began his post by clearing his throat. This means that he is trying to sound dignified.

He feels offended by my post and although he's involved in an art that could easily be mistaken for philosophy, he doesn't like philosophy.

He also decided to direct his frustration on poor Ddavid who didn't even say anything to him.

If you are a psychologist (or a body language reader), Jordan, you'd fail big time. lol

I am not offended by your post.

I think you overlooked what I said two or three posts above this: "I like philosophy" ... you can check my comments on Luce and Karla since they go philosophical in their pieces and that's why I like their work!

No, I'm not frustrated by David (sorry Ddavid if I sounded like that haha, I was just confused by what you are saying in this thread; it's vaguer than philosophy, more like: not philosophy at all!).

  • Larry Chamberlin

It's not David (ALS) it's Ddavid, from a prior incarnation on this site.
