"There is a certain responsibility in communicating theories i think. They should be conveyed in a gentle manner that still leaves it up to the mind of each person who reads or hears the theory."

Ok I am really late in coming on this point but Ive been busy and not around dtoo much so here goes,

I agree with Kevin here Kaitlin, It is your belief and we all respect your belief that the world works in the way you described earlier, but to someone else the world may be completly different and that maybe something else is going on. Like one theory is that This "world" or idea we have of our world is all simply our imagination and that we are imagining everything in it. The computer you are sitting at is a "dream" so to say and the simple movement of your fingers touching the "keyboard" is what your mind has fabricated for you. Everyone else is simply imagined and when it snows and rains and shines, your mind came up with them too. In this idea you are the only one that really exists and that in an instant you could be alone. with nothing. no form no anything and all because your mind wanted to do that.

Along those same lines, there is another theory that we all are part of someone elses dream. That may existance and yours kaitlin are controlled by someone dreaming somewhere. And tomorrow if whomever is dreaming doesnt think of you or me kaitlin, then we cease to exist. People believe and follow that theory, so what makes you so sure that they are wrong. We will never know, and even if the person dreaming wakes up, we still wont know, because, like a dream, when you wake up the image goes away, and it stops progressing. We might stop someday and never start again. Whose to say that the idea of us being a simple element of a dream isnt true?

I sometimes try to work out things like this. The big one being "What was here before the universe existed?"

This one can wrap me up in knots to the point were I just lie in bed uncreating the world, playing out the big crunch. I came to the conclusion that it is entirely possible that the universe is a brain cell.

The big bang was a electrical thought process, one cell firing to another. (You have take time as being extremely relative). So we're on a planet in some guy's head (let's call him GOD). He has about 100 BILLION neurons in his head... there are more connections in his brain than there are stars in our single universe.

There are six billion people on earth right now, each with 100 billion universes firing in their heads. In each neuron of my brain is a universe. In each universe is about a hundred million planets (low estimate) each teaming with life (even an octopus has about 170,000,000 neiron with their own unique universes) each with neurons firing with universes in nurons and more universes in there too... it's enough to make you wonder if the secrets of time travel, the meaning of life and so one exists in your head, and if it is... how in buggery do you find it?

    Confused yet?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

So what existed before Gods brain?

    *

Anyway, philosophy cannot be disputed. I shared mine, Ali and Kevin, and my assurance should not be deemed wrong by anyone who is not myself, because my own personal theories are what goes on in my universe until I learn better, just as your faith and beliefs steer you in the same direction. However, most of the time when I speak of metaphysical theory it IS metaphysical theory.

We could be in a matrix type existance, which I deem most probable. I dont mean hooked up to little pods and run by machines feeding off our life force, but I mean in a realm of existance which only exists in our own minds on a soul level. Full of illusion, we experiance whatever we need to to gain as much as we can from this physical experiance, things we could not learn in an energetic form.

But anything is possible, I dont even write the Bible off as WRONG. Personal philosophy has to feel RIGHT to you, otherwise it isnt personal.

Whats even cooler than that, is that music changes water as well, and given that our bodies are m made up of a whole heap of water...best be picky next time you buy a record...here's what they found when they blasted a glass of water with various tunes.

Rock and metal made the water molecules go all fuzzy and random, but they were highly stimulated.

Classical and Indian Raga music had the best effect on the water, making it form into beautiful crystals.

Heres the killer for me..Country music had NO EFFECT AT ALL ON THE WATER!!...aw man that cracks me up! Ha!

It's someting I feel I am familiar with.

I have an emapthic link with my sister. When she went into labour (both times) I knew, phoned mum and let her know (I live about 20 miles from my sister, mum lives opposite). I can take pain away from my family members and ease things. Hurts like a giant static shock when I do it, but it's all good.

In general I have a calming influence on everything around me from people to animals. I don't know what it is or how it works, I just accept it for what it is; very handy in a pinch.

As for Masaru Emoto, I'll look him up and do some research before commenting. But I know I certainly wont be disputing his theories/facts.

Loving you- I will fall for generalizations and say that your opinion holds as much credence to me as the opinion of a 12 year old, which is what you are. When you have discovered a bit more about the world around you and are less sheltered, please do come back and join some intelligent people who are willing to look past the blatantly obvious and dare to dig deeper. Until then, have fun posting some intelligent conversations with the other 12 year olds.

Water correction is a pretty awesome thing. I have studied water correction (I know.... Kevin.... I seem well read about everything), and actually have practiced the difference in people by giving them corrected water versus contaminated water and seeing how it affects their physical bodies, as well as their personalities. When I gave my mom water that had the words "hate, pain, sorrow, depression," and "violence" written across the bottle (she didn’t see what it said) she got very sick after a few days and her mood went very solemn and vitriolic. The same thing happened with my friends and sister when I later tried the test again. To remedy them all after getting sick and sad, I gave them water that had positive words written on it, "love, light, happiness, prayer," and "life force," they were better within a few hours and felt fantastic. I thought the correlation was most interesting, plus they could taste the difference and said they liked the positive water better.

I think that this discovery was very powerful, considering that most of our bodies are water, as is most of the earth. You can also "correct" food, or anything with water in it. It makes you think about what to write on your tattoos, doesn’t it? Anyway, I started putting colored labels on the water, as well as putting different crystals in it, and seeing if the supposed metaphysical properties that the colors and crystals had would rub off on the water and affect people noticeably, that is my newest little project.

It is best to correct distilled water, as anyone who has seen the water crystals knows that they are just plain and then you can correct them from their already pure state, and they are most receptive.

    That’s all MY OPINION :)

Ok, so it is apparent that the mind can affect the structre of water, but with music alone I would disagree as that is sound waves recorded onto vinyl or cd or a pc or cassette etc. Unless the mental projection of the musician was recorded as well of course.

It seems to me that the water is affected by the emotions of the listener in the room with the music and water. Would you get the same results if the water and music were left in a room alone?

And if it works with water, where does it stop? Can you channel enough to effect telekinesis on other elements, compounds and objects?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

I think that water is receptive to energetic stimuli, so anything with water in it can be affected.

Music also has its own energy, it is not just a CD. A Marilyn Manson cd obviously has very different energy, and creates a different energy as it emulates throughout a room than Baroque or something meditative. Words carry energy, so do instruments. That is what affects the water, I also think that the intention that the song was created for is carried with it, and maybe the musicians energy in general.

And telekinesis works on the water too, projecting thoughts onto it supposedly creates different crystals. This was done by meditating and is explored throughout some different books.

  • Bret Higgins

So, is it the mind's emotions or just the energy from sound waves and harmonics?

How about shouting great and loving words angrily at water?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

I think its the intention behind the words, the intonation, the energetic meaning, and the emotion that the words come from. I think it is subconscious emotions and energies, not conscious, not nearly as much, I dont think anyway.

  • Bret Higgins

So, if it is the tone of words then it has little to do with what is being said how is that reflected in intrumental music, such as classical and free form jazz?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

You know... you really like to ask the questions; infinitely inquisitive, maybe? But how about your answer? What's your view on it?

    *

I think that personal energy (in person) affects the water more telekinetically than the WORDS affect the water, hence if someone is standing 3 feet from a glass of distilled and energetically pure water and they begin shouting "love, joy, peace, light, God," or other positive words at it, but angrily and with mal intent, I believe that the water will be more susceptible to the personal energetic forces, and the meaning behind the words (the intention), rather than the actual positivity of the words being shouted. It will pick up whichever energy is dominant, or the crystals will be scattered with no form because of confusion. The crystals could be slightly distorted, but form nonetheless. I don’t have a microscope and cannot figure it out, but that is my hypothesis nonetheless, and would love it if that experiment were pulled off. I am sure someone has done it.

If there is no personal stimuli, and just music, or just words, it picks up the energy of the music or word, but as I said before, I think that the energy of the artists and composers of the music does slightly affect the energy- however because the music will be affecting the energy of the artist at the time, it balances out and the music is the dominant energy. That is how I see it, anyway.

  • Bret Higgins

I think from what you have said and without experimentation it would be easy for me to conclude that water is only affected by sound waves and not the intent behind it.

Can water be influenced without soundwaves? How about different colours and intensities of light? What about the influence of temperature?

And how would water be affected by the human mind in a 'pure' room devoid of light sound and heat (assuming room temperature is kept constant)?

  • Bret Higgins

You know... you really like to ask the questions; infinitely inquisitive, maybe? But how about your answer? What's your view on it?

I don't have a view on it, I'm learning as we converse.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

You still dodged YOUR personal thoughts ;)

    *

    Anyway:

"I believe that the water will be more susceptible to the personal energetic forces, and the meaning behind the words (the intention), rather than the actual positivity of the words being shouted."

*"It will pick up whichever energy is dominant."*

The water will pick up WHATEVER energy is most directly affecting it, whether it be words, music, voice, a book, a thought, etc.

I also talked about earlier that I am now just getting into using colors. Also colored light, shining through it, seeing if the metaphysical properties of the light can be shown clearly through personality fluctuations of a person or their physical health. That is yet to be determined, in my mind at least.

The only affect that heat and coldness has is the swelling of the crystals, I believe. That is my understanding, but as always, I could be wrong.

In short, the water will pick up whatever the dominant energy around it is, no matter where it is coming from or in what form, because every form is ultimately energetic, and it responds to energetic stimuli.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

Ah, got you. Sorry, well let us know your thoughts after you begin to explore them and sort them out. I would love to know your perspective.

  • Bret Higgins

temperature will afftect the crystals which will inturn affect the amount of energy it receives, so temperature is critical.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

Energy in a physical sense works that way, but I am not so sure if energy on an energetic level works that way.

In my experiance it is not slowed by cold, it is just as instantaneous as ever.

But considering that the water IS PHYSICAL the crystaline structure will swell or become frigid, however I think it will be the same crystal.

You bring up a good point.

  • Bret Higgins

Quantum physics explores that a bit too.

PLEASE see the movie "What the bleep [do we know]" It's worth it for anyone interested in such phenomena.

Plus, it was filmed in Portland, so I have to represent ;)

  • Kaitlin Kristina

The Bible code is somewhat speculative.

I dont disbelieve it, but I have never seen real proof that it cannot be found in other books. I would love to run the tests and see it myself, but I cant. I have read both the books by Michael Drosnin, and my outlook on the future is a bit different than that, just because I think CIRCUMSTANCES are contracted, and based upon probability, and that outcomes are not.

Nothing is sealed in stone... I mean... Bible. However, it is possible that there are hints or clues. I believe that.

  • FTS Miles

Drat! Been away far too long! Things get extremely busy, you can't devote as much time as you'd like to reading and commenting, and then you miss out on an incredible discussion.

Kaitlin, Bret... your discussion is fascinating. [Must insert: YAY Portland!]

When I was a child, my grandfather taught me to apply scientific method to analysis of absolutely everything. He also taught me, simultaneously, to put no idea aside because it was too incredible, too fantastical. Observe the evidence and analyze it utilizing scientific method, he would say, and even if what at first you thought was happening is not, you will no doubt gain insight into what actually is happening.

Anyway... your experiments, Kaitlin, remind me of that approach. And I, for one, would be terribly interested in hearing the results.

By the way, we already know that crystal can be utilized to channel energy because there has been research done with lasers focused through crystals of various types. From what I've read, though, the clarity of crystal is important in such processes.

So I submit as a logical correlative that the clarity and structural integrity of a crystal will highly affect how it channels any sort of energy--mental or otherwise. In that regard, human-made gemstones with high levels of clarity and low-levels of structural flaws, would probably be best for your experiments.

BTW, I hope in coming in late and sort of skimming through oh, about a hundred entries, that I didn't just comment too far from your own discussions.

Hopefully I'll be around a bit more in the coming weeks than I was the last two.

    New subject?

China's growing industrial revolution and world hyper power aspirations perhaps?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    Ughh...

    Scary.

  • Bret Higgins

Seriously in about fifteen years, probably less, China is going to realise just how much power and influence it actually has.

They are currently going through an industrial revolution akin to that of the British way back when except they have modern machinery, technology and engineering. They have no concern for pollution as long as production is maintained and they are learning more every week. Soon bicycles in Beijing will be a thing of the past. They are already being replaced by sccoters and motorbikes and they in turn will soon enough be replaced by cars.

Even with birth restrictions growth is over 10% and new sanctions are being proposed to lower that to 7 or 8%. without a limit growth in China would be somewhere between 15 and 20% per year... 20% of a billion is a hell of a lot of little Chinese kids.

The age of Chinese enlightenment is coming.

When that happens you can say good bye to Japan because they'll be invaded in a heartbeat for their treatment of the Chinese during WW2 and the rest of their history.

Taiwan, Korea and the other big Asian producers will be strangled as the Chinese market explodes and they will revert back to the subserviant countries they once were.

The Middle East will be flattened by China's no nonsense attitude to anything that causes them to worry and China will become the east all by it self.

The problem is they have more aggression than the Russians ever did and more rigid discipline to back it up. Not to mention more foot soldiers than any three armies put together when they need them.

    It's going to be interesting.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    Interesting....

I would like to revert back to "scary,"

    It's not great news.

  • Bret Higgins

Ok, so no one else has considered China's future...

Where will the world be in 15 years time?

    What is your intelligent vision?

  • Kaitlin Kristina

Superpowers will be shifting, but hopefully in 15 years there will be far less emphasis on "countries," and "territories," and much more on humanity and the planet.

I'm really not as much of a liberal tree hugger as that statement just made me sound.

  • Bret Higgins

The fear of nuclear war has kept the world safe since 1946.

There is a big difference between the threat of force (National, international) and the use of fear as a weapon.

Countries are not terrorists and they do not attack states randomly for political gain.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

"Countries are not terrorists and they do not attack states randomly for political gain."

    That's not totally true.

Power hungry countries (like China will soon become when they realize exactly how much potential they have) will not be afraid to attack for political gain.

Maybe not "randomly," they will think about who and why they need to attack, but they will do anything for political gain.

Most smart countries will, in one form or another.

  • Bret Higgins

A country will not attack another without a proper reason. When it does choose to do so it is via a campaign in the open. That is not random. Random
is the key word that differentiates here.

Terrorists purposely attack in random places so that no one know where the or when the next bomb will be planted or when the next plane will be hijacked.

Terrorists are indiscriminate about their targets. People of the same faith caught in the blast become martyrs to the cause, every death has a reason for them, mosty the reason of fear.

Armies do their best not to inflict civilian casualties. I know it does happen, but that is not the goal. Oh, and anyone taking arms against an army is no longer a civilian.

If China was to invade another country that would not nearly be random.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    That's what I said.

However, they WILL attack for political gain.

  • Bret Higgins

Yep it's always for political gain.. or political revenge.

it's the randomness that sets them apart.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    I concur ;)

  • Kaitlin Kristina

    OK. Next subject:

Should or should women not be allowed in the army? What positions should they be allowed to fill? Should they be allowed to die for their country? Are drafts unethical of either sex? Is it right to ask someone to die for their country?

  • pinkalias

Kaitlin: OF COURSE women should be "allowed" in the army. What good reason should they not?

i personally think they should be(sigh) "allowed" to fill any position. of course there are physical differences in strength, but that doesn't mean they make any less of a difference when it comes to serving their country.

OF COURSE they should be allowed to die for their country.
    Why are you asking this?

umm i'm kind of neutral about drafts, but for the most part I am against them. (equally for men and women)

of course it's alright to ask someone to die for their country. Telling them to do so is a different story.

  • Kaitlin Kristina

What about the psychological effects that women in combat have on the male soldiers?

What happens when the physical and endurance differences infringe on the other male soldiers who have to pick up womens' slack?

What about the double standards that have been created to cater to women in the army? Are those fair to the men?

(I'm hoping Bret jumps in soon)

  • pinkalias

    Let me rephrase my answer:

women should be allowed to do whatever the men do if they are up to it. True, women usually do tend to be physically weaker, and mentally, when it comes to be involved in combat and on the front line.

However, ( I agree with Ashley) if the women aren't strong enough to carry their own slack, fight with torn clothes and be restriced of privacy (yes friends, there are women who are not bothered by these things) then they shouldn't be there.

the women who are strong enough to accomplish all these things without a man's help, (which is how it should be, if your not strong enough to engage in combat and take care of yourself, you shouldn't be there) deserve the right to any postion. A person cannot generally say that all women shouldn't be allowed to fill certain positions, because there are plenty of strong, tough, determined women who have the mental stability to witness horrific combat, carry on themselves, and endure restricted privacy.

  • Bret Higgins

Women should not be allowed to serve in the army as part of a mixed unit.

They slow men down, they require consessions and they have a negative effect on morale.

How do I know this? I served in a mixed unit.

I thought it was bad enough carrying 70lbs on a tab (force march). Try it carrying a girl's extra kit, say 70lbs divided by three men, because she can't physically cope with the requirements.

Leg stride is unusually important. An average man strides at 30 to 32 inches. A woman at 26 to 28. Try marching at a shorter and slower pace. It feels unnatural and is thoroughly annoying after three hours.

Psychologically women can cope with having to kill, but cannot cope with having to lay still in OP (observation post) for 72 hours. The demands of soldiering require a special sort of man, let alone a special sort of woman. I knew 1 girl that I thought contributed something worthwhile to my battery, and she admitted that she was not up to the task when it came to marching.

She could carry 50lbs on a tab. Admirable, but still a good 20lbs short.

If women were to have their own units then sure I'm all for it, but adding even one woman to a fighting unit decreases it's value wholesale.

Women should be allowed to serve, but should also be restricted to desk work and training.
