My friend tried killing herself lastnight...

I was so f*****g afraid. She called me last night and told me she already swallowed the pills. She had gotten in a another fight with her dad. I begged her to throw them up, but she said she couldn't. She drove over to my house and told me she almost crashed. She was light-headed and nauceus i was to afraid to call 911. When my other friend OD yea i called 911, and they took her to the hospital and then to a mental hopital, I didn't want her to die, but i couldn't have her taken away from me. I took care of her the best i could and prayed she would still be alive when I awoke. She was, thank you god! Has this ever happened to any of you, it was so f*****g scary!

no this hasnt hapened to me..but im really sorry that this has happened to you..and im soo happy that shes alright...

My friend didn't wan't me to call 911. She was to afraid. I almost lost my friendship last time i had to get my other friend help it only made her worse they almost killed her in that mental hospital, on accident of course. They gave her two much antidepressents and she was out for two days and almost died i don't trust those places.

im sorry that happend to you but if you cared you would have called 911 you cant take a risk like that....

I have taken a simliar risk before by not calling 911 much for the same reason you did...I didn't want my friend to die but I knew our friendship would end if she woke up in another mental hospital - It is so scary! She has dropped from OD's on me three times and had her heart stop, Its all so slow it feels like time is on hold for those few minutes doesn't it? Luckily after the first time she dropped I made an effort to do a first aid course and when it happened again i knew how to handle the situation, it didn't take away from my fear of having her blood on my hands so to speak.

In light of this situation though, I had to stop being friends with the girl Im talking about. As much as I loved her and her friendship and still do there is only so much help I could offer her and have continually rejected. I figured she simply didn't want the help, she didn't want the better life I wanted for her and I was the one who had to accept that. I just couldn't bare to continue to watch her do that to herself again - it was too much strain on me personally and our friendship...

I'm glad someone can relate to me this situation has happened to me twice and the first time i did call 911 (different friend), it was a disater. I'm sry about your lost friendship and i hope she can get the help she needs.

it has happened to me with my sister I was so0 scared and im so glad she is still alive today... it aws almost the exact same thing that happened but she just went off cuzz of life was not good for her then i guess
