Brevity Contest - Round 1

Hello,

While we wait for the results of Mapple's Contest, I would like to start this next challenge and give everyone the opportunity to start working on their poems.

You will have till Friday 8, 2013 at night PnQ time to finish and Pm the poems to me.

There will be two rounds. Each round will have a winner. If the winners in Round one and Round two are different poets then there will be a Round three made specially for the two finalists. If it is the same one for both rounds then that will be the winner.

Before I forget, the judging will be similar to the weekly contest in the sense that my judges will only comment on the top three poems. They will rate all of the poems from 0-25 points but only The Top Three will receive a comment. So ladies and gentlemen try your very best. I have 4 judges. The rounds won't be cumulative. Also there won't be any eliminations, so those who scored lower in round one will have the opportunity to try and win Round two and decide whether to dispute first place in a Round three with the winner from Round 1.

Everyone will receive a short but short comment from me, not so rewarding I know, but if you want to receive the four or one comment from my judges then there is no other way but to sharpen your writing skills and impress them with your poem.

P.S. I will not be rating, I will only comment. Unless there is a tie in the first place, I will have someone untie it.

Enough of me talking.

The contest theme is Brevity; therefore,

the challenge is to write a Poem with 4-5 lines about "The Fabric of Time" but no more than 40 words though.

It will be helpful to do some research, some thinking, to be creative and use word economy. I can't wait to see some poems.

I was thinking that if I extend the deadline until thursday, then this will be just a one Round contest, but the judging will be the same.

It STILL wouldn't be good for me no computer unless someone wants to text me the topic for 2nd round! :)

I am totally up for this contest, if it isnt too late.
