There are only two winning poems on the front page now....has the site gone crazy again or what???

The author deletes the poem or leaves the site. Apparently LP has been deleting a bunch of his poems, his name has also changed. Account says closed. Hm.

Oh...I couldn't remember what the other poem was...I've been away...was it LP's poem?

Yes, I looked it up in the winner's thread. Lamented. It's a shame, I just commented a bunch of his poems which I loved...and now he's gone.

There are some strange goings on with clubs,

    First the Ravens........people migrating,

Maybe the club scene is phasing out.....

The club scene is not dying out , well not through our
    Free spirits.

And it's funny how you mention about poets not being known
For there stable mind, I brought this up in my club
The other day, because there's a very small percent of
Poets who write for just the passion , and a really big percent
Of poets write because of sadness and pain from past and present .

Yes, it is the inner pain and turmoil that leads to the biggest beauties being born..this goes for all art forms, I feel!

I write because I'm compelled to by unseen forces. :)

Tony's right, Us Free Spirits are still as free and spirited in our club forums and with posting, we aren't going anywhere any time soon.

Abed has chosen to leave this site. Here's hoping he will return.

For me, writing is a both a passion and a release of emotions and thoughts otherwise left unexpressed.

Im shocked with the fact Abed left... I find him one of the best poets on PnQ.... He has his own style and way of writing.. And I really want to know what made him take this decision. He was so active here. He even started the Wheel of fortune game.

    :/

Funny, it sounds like the game of who is to be blame

I used to play this game call in Spanish la papa caliente, the hot potato. The" hot potato" ( a ball) was transfer from person to person while everyone sang and when the song finish who ever remained with the potato at last was the one who got burn. This time I just hope that the potato be use to give food for everyone instead of burning each other out.

Club run smoothly when everyone contributes. Even if there are challenges or activities given, if no one participates, the club will not run smoothly. The same goes for the site.

Luce, everybody is fed now and burnt too.Hope things end here.

    Karla, :P

I'm still hungry ( for good food) and I haven't been burn yet, not that I wish to, but I just wonder

What is driving the passion out, it seems like we stumble upon a routine and the passion slowly fades.

I just wanted to say that is not any ones fault if a club doesn't work out. Specially in a poetry site. It requires contributions from everyone not just a few selected ones.

    I'm locking this thread.

It has gone way off topic, Hellon's original post has been answered (when a winning poem or poet's account is deleted it leaves only 2 winners on the front page). Also, as far as I can tell a few people have broken forum rules by bringing club and business into the main forums.

Ladies you have been on PnQ long enough to know that personal issues are to be sorted out via pm. Consider this a warning, don't bring these issues up again on the boards or penalty points will be given out.

The decision of the mods has been to delete all comments which refer to the inner workings of a club, even those which may not have been meant to antagonize.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A CLUB STAYS IN A CLUB.

    Also deleted deliberate attacks.

    No penalties are assessed.

The persons involved should stay away from the main boards for awhile until you are able to put the issue behind you.

I would have liked to have stepped in earlier, but I wasn't sure what to say and whether or not it would appear I was taking sides.

I have much respect for my former club members, just wish they settled this via PM.

not really much more I can say.
