Hi guys! Here's the new site contest for the beginning of April while Everlasting is waiting on results for her contest- hope everyone enjoys and if there any questions please pm me or post here. There will be three rounds total. Thanks =)
    - - - - -

    1ST PROMPT:
"In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act." George Orwell

Keep the quote in mind but also please look at some of these photo prompts. Pick one that may inspire or speak to you; use it as your backboard to give your poem direction. Whether it is sadness, longing, joy, or some other emotion in their eyes, they have dreams awaiting you to pen.

2nd PROMPTS: (You can submit up to two poems. Don't post them here, pm them to me, and when I give them to the judges it will be anonymous.)

    7). http://www.wired.com/culture/art/multimedia/2008/05/gallery_top_10_black_white?slide=1&slideView=8

    Length: under 50 lines.

    Prohibited words:
    - dream, legacy, life, story, eyes, any of the sense words (touch, smell, taste, see, hear)

Have fun, be creative, stay true to yourself. All the photos are black & white, so color them... the focus on this round is inspiration, what makes a person breathe and get through the long days and nights. Look at the positive side of life but don't be cliche, add twists here and there if you have to.

Judging consists of three judges who will vote on a scale of 1 to 10 and will give comments. I will have no say in any of this unless there is a tie, then I will break it. There will be eliminations...

Due date will be April 8, 2013 at night PnQ time.

Also, you may not use these words in your poems:
    - dream, legacy, life, story, eyes, any of the sense words (touch, smell, taste, see, hear)

^^ so this will be a total challenge. I can wait to see what everyone comes up with.

I just want make sure I understood correctly so No words that appeal to the sense.. I mean rather use words that appeal to the senses instead of using them literally like hear, see, taste... Bite?

A worm succumbed to the green of a leaf...

    Instead of

    A worm ate
    to the smell of green...

    I think I'm confused.

I know, I hope many people participate & sorry if that was not clear, I should have stated more definitely.

You can't use the actual words "I saw, I heard, I touched/felt, I smelled, I tasted" but you can use variants/synonyms such as "I gazed," and like you said "succumbed" or even "ate". Points won't necessarily be docked, I just want to encourage people to be more creative and not explain and describe to me but show....

Does that make sense or should I change it?
