I think you either need to be Indian or be a fan of 70s/80s Bollywood to get this. Or use Google.

  • Hallucinostic

Yeah, I thought so too. Google? Whats that? lol. Nah no googling, wheres the fun in that? But anyways, we'll crack this one, sooner or later. Maybe when the lucky ones get here. :)

No L or D's there friends.

No disrespect but when you say it out loud, sounds more like you're talkin bout percussions rather than a place, lol.
JK, but seriously, you've heard of this, in the news or something.

Yeah, I know my clues sound silly, but hey, this was Hellon's so bear with me, lol. :D

Let us see...Hellon loves taking trips to South Korea. Seoul, her "soulmate" is being threatened by North Korea and it's 3rd generation dictator, Mr. Kim, the troublemaker who lives in this city :)

    PYONGYANG

Means literally: "Flat Land" or "Peaceful Land"
Today, it is more or less a "Troubled land" isn't it?

    -----------------------------------------------------

Hey Dib, can I try next? A quick one, will test your geographical knowledge.

Here it is, if Dib accepts my answer to Hellon's quiz.

Glad to see you back in threads Darren.
    Sorry no F either,

but there is a certain small village/town in Austria whose name starts with an F, and is so happens that the towns billboard gets stolen by collectors a dozen times a year! Maybe you will find the reference in another thread :)

Did you know they dug up ancient Roman ruins in London at a construction site today? Just saw it on TV this evening. Fascinating, to think London as a Roman empire suburb.

  • Darren

    T

once the romans conquered England they ran out of steam and it was the beginning of the end for them.
Probably the most famous tale is that of Boudica, colchester was the one of the biggest roman towns and she destroyed it.......

The great thing about England is we have so many old castles etc if you dig deep enough you can find evidence of medieval times (king arthur).

You got it right this time. 2 T's

I was looking at the pictures of the excavation site a minute ago, and it was interesting that they want to call it the Pompeii of the North in one of your papers, though there was no volcanic ash/explosion that buried London.
    Here are some interesting pics:

Are these within the famous garrison wall built by the Romans, who called it Londinium? Here is a picture of the ancient Roman garrison of Londinium:
