what was the poem called? Janis and Dainz might need to know that to retreive it, so you should try to either PM one of them or post some specifics and wait for a reply.

I thought Friends was right - If this isn't the case then what is when moderators are deleting poetry that others have claimed as forgery?

well, we used to be able to. We could edit, move (to proper category), and even delete poems.

But some bad stuff happened and we got accused of messing with peoples poems (Deleting the text and replacing it with major rudeness), so we got our powers stripped from us where poems were concerned.

(just for the record, I never deleted or edited any poems... I would change the category, and I did take the requests to vote/comment out of the title since that is against the rules)

oh yes, I know it happened (that's why I wrote bad stuff happened and not "supposedly" happened), but it happening doesn't mean a mod was actually the one doing it.

Anyway... I, personally, do not want the ability back to delete/edit poems. If there is a way that we could put poems in the proper category or edit comments to read and special characters that are not supposed to be in the titles without giving us access to the whole thing, I'd be fine with that... but I don't think that's possible.

yeah i had a poem deleted that had 100+ votes and tons of comments, i mailed dainz an he just said i should have saved it first, and i did, i can repost it, but i've lost the great comments people put there. i was given no reason for it's deletion which left me very angry .... understandably.
