So, I happened to see this on dictionary.com and figure the poetry community might like to know that the 16th was Shakespeare's 397th birthday.

    Any favorites by him?

    Shakespeare?

"Doth Mother know you weareth her drapes?"... Oh wait, that's Ironman, lol. XD

Macbeth, my favorite, that one really rocks. Nice one Linda, for posting this. :)

    I thought his 449th B'day was April 23rd. He was baptised 26th April. :)
I would love to quote some, but I think some people who are really good should go first.

Does anybody REALLY like shakespeare, half of his stuff was just rambling political garbage.

    sorry

    IMO

it was shoved down our throats at school and college and to be honest were the most boring lessons I had to endure.

I would only have the complete works of shakespeare in my house as back up in case we run out of bog roll.

apologies in advance for trouncing on this Linda.

LOL, no worries. I'm a Poe fan myself. There's a reason it's called POEtry. ;) hehehehe

I actually can't stand Shakespeare, but he opened a lot of people's minds to look at poetry as not just a female thing -- at least that I know of with some of my guy friends. Same with Poe.
