    "Inspired By" Challenge

    This is a challenge in which participants write poems Inspired By the work of classic/well-known/famous poems or poets.

    It is not a contest, but an opportunity to express your poetic love and talent and to reach new levels of greatness with and in your poetry. Represent yourself and/or the club to which you belong. I want the best of P&Q Poets to participate. The prize here is a sense of pride and accomplishment, but I hope and asks also that you fellow p&q members show your poems the accolades and acclaim they deserve, by voting and commenting them. When you've completed submit the poem as you normally would and post a link (the address) here. Also note in your poem as to what it is for (written for the Inspired By Challenge). I compiled a list to choose from or you can choose one not on the list. Please state the Poet and/or Poem that inspired the write. In addition. the poems have to be penned in a Specific Form (Please State the Form) and use some Common Poetry Elements. We are looking for poems to Flow Well, Be Properly Structure, Have Good Rhythm & Rhyme, and Proper Form Structure/Usage. Deadline for the poems August 31st. we want you to have enough time to do your best work. We would appreciate it if interested poets planning to participate in the challenge state there interest, so we may all get an idea how many wonderful poems we get to read.

    Okay i'll bite sweetie! but hmmm it's gonna take time since i don't do sonnets i do free verse most of the time i do rhyme but it's at it's best a 4/5 anyways i'll try to invite my club but it's up to them in the end! :)

    What forms you comfortable with Ash. Now, I suggest you do an Ode, or find your favorite classic/famous poet or poem and write something similar to that.

    Ode: (Ã...�d) 1. A lyric poem characterized by lofty feeling, elaborate form, and dignified or elevated style; a form of stately and elaborate lyrical verse. 2. A lyric poem usually marked by exaltation of feeling and style, varying length of line, and complexity of stanza forms. 3. A lyrical poem praising or glorifying a person, place, or thing.

    I can do that lol :) and Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet of all time!!! i mean i just LOVE her poem called "Because I Could Not Stop For Death"

    *sighs softly* but the thing is i don't write dark poetry anymore... i mean i CAN but i can't it's emotional connection and although i LOVE dark poetry don't get me wrong i LOVE it i can't write it anymore i have to LIVE the moment in which i feel it sooo i need to have someone to date and then dump since i can't have any emotions now lol
