"There is a law of the natural worlds (the spiritual and the physical) and this is something I have understood: that for every genuine existence, for every real manifestation and occurrence, there are are ten thousand falsities. Before you meet what or who is genuine, you will first have met, or known of, what is fake; and ten thousand times so! There is no need to feel disappointments, any number below ten thousand deceptions renders you a lucky person! And you ask why is there a need for this to happen? Well, if you have not known what is false first, there is no way to understand what then comes which is truth. What is lesser is so afraid of what is genuine, that it finds it necessary to imitate and duplicate that imitation ten thousand times over, for fear that you will finally meet what is real. The more important that one existence is, the more imitations there are in the world."

    JoyBell C.

"I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you."

A suitable one for the new year, I think

'For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again'

From The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (the 2013 film):

'Beautiful things don't ask for attention.'

"Beautiful things don't ask for attention."

The mere purpose of beauty is to seek attention. It is the art of performance: Whoever, whatever that could capture the most attention: Flowers that jet out and splash into our eyes to show off the magnificence of their existence, to scream out into the ears of our heeds. We always put the most beautiful ones forward, in windows, in fruit box, in our poetry, in art, in the cinema..., beauty is the frontiers.
""Only beauty, is not ashamed to be exposed.""

However in regard to human being because of the grasp for essentials, the best of us, rather to see inner beauties; the beauty that does not need to show off. ""Only essentials last""
we had this discussion before in the other thread.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs

"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once."

    Albert Einstein

But Mr. Einstein, everything does, happen at once but our mind is only able to process them gradually.
    That gradualness, is time.

RealMeaning, Everything happens in correspondence to time and that is forward motion.

  • ddavidd

    Dear Samuel
Your view of time is the first observation. We are programed to see time as a line, not capacity. It is hard to understand the connection of atoms and the forth degree: history(time)
Leibniz does not believe in the existence of time and space. He says space( also time) is as the result of confused perception of MONADS (atoms of perception) acting upon each other.
There are other philosopher also who see time differently like George Berkeley and so on.
for me time is: "The distance between perfection and the perfection lost."
And that distance brings up the illusion of radius in time (linage) and space.

I apologize for getting so obscure, the nature of time is like this: very hard subject to talk about.
